@Blue Skeptic did you see the game? Did you follow the season? Did you follow his career? He himself admitted he didn't have the clutch gene...he was more of a complimentary superstar who made everyone else better. He was not the player who could win a game by sheer force of will, he was the maestro who would create masterful games that involved everybody. That whole season, despite their great record, nobody on that team averaged more than 20 pts. Everyone embraced their roles and swallowed their pride because they were winning. It was great to see how many lineups that team threw out because all they cared about was moving the ball and overwhelming you with depth. If anything, that team embodied Pippen's playstyle. He didn't stand around...his team was a victim of Shaq and Kobe, bad officiating and mainly because they didn't have a single player who could take over the game like a McGrady, Kobe, MJ or Shaq.

This game broke my heart. I've have never been more emotional at a finish to a game more in my lifetime. But the basketball gods weren't on the blazers side. The amount of shots that went halfway down and then popped out and the refs gave the lakers 6 points on bad calls
@gordonshumway59332 жыл бұрын
Not a blazers fan and the refs gave them far more than that. Not a kings fan and they received the same treatment as Portland. Bad calls happen, it’s part of the game and isn’t usually such a deciding factor but those lakers teams benefited from some really awful officiating, it was egregious!
@jordandwiggins10262 жыл бұрын
Portland and Sacramento both deserved far better. Lakers fans have no right to ever complain about officiating, things are so rigged in their favor it’s egregious

No they didn't. Blazers shot more free throws in the other games, wouldn't have happened if they cared to rig it.

So obvious. Mind boggling that people can’t see it. Hey, it’s a business... I’m not hating on the NBA. Just on the people who fail to see the obvious. And I sure as heck find Shaq more entertaining than the big man from Portland, Sabonus ... or however it’s spelled. So, I can’t blame them.

Blazers had this series won but choked hard and that was their immediate downfall and thus my Lakers wound up winning this series and went on to win the NBA Finals that year which started the 3 peat.
@razkable4 жыл бұрын
that 4th quarter feels scripted ....the nba wanted the lakers to win...the year before we could of had spurs pacers the year before that paces jazz and then in 2000 pacers blazers and kings nets in a 5 year span....the fact we got la ny chi an 3 tx teams in all the finals from 1991-2011 tells me its scripted .....

@bryanttisdale24465 жыл бұрын
They definitely deserve 1. A very talented pro bowl laden team. But unlike the Broncos were losing Before the super bowl 3 of the 4 chances. Then lost in super bowl In the 4th. Might be now that I say it MOST DISAPPOINTING NFL TEAM.

@bryanttisdale24465 жыл бұрын
@@charismatic9904 They were DISAPPOINTING but at the time it was something about that team..I didn't think they could beat Elway. The Raiders of the 70s LOST 5 championship games in 7 yrs. 7 of 8. From 70'- 78'. The 49ers' surprisingly lost 4 out 5 in the 90's. (Mostly because of Cowboys run). From 90'-97'. All 4 Losses were at Home!😨😯. But the eagles were mostly home losers but all in a row then win and get to superbowl and lose by 3 in last minutes.....🤢🤕😩😰. Most DISAPPOINTING
