I haven't thought of DreamWorks Animation in a long while. Sure there's Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train your Dragon, but unlike Disney and Pixar it's not that unique. Plus its origins started out of revenge with Jeffrey Katsenberg leaving the company because he wasn't offered the position of president of Disney. And many employees including Eisner and Roy O. Disney didn't want him in charge because of his notorious work ethic. But that's just the simplified version. Anywho I don't see DreamWorks lasting long because Universal has illumination, their main animation money maker.

You are extremely right man. Recently dreamworks have produced some boring, generic and shit movies that ruin their franchise and with the announcement of shrek 5 it seems that dreamworks may not be the same ever again :( I believe it all started with HTTYD 3 . I am not saying it is a bad movie infact it is really good but you see It doesn't have the same charm to it as the other HTTYD movies and dreamwork's other movies in general. Also I was not too happy about their dreamworks intro changing. Honestly I find the older dreamworks movies to be better than the newer ones.

Well Its Currently 2nd On Rotten Tomato's Only To HTTYD And The Dog Man Movie Looks Perfect So Dreamworks Is Back (also theres a bad guys 2 coming out)

We have hope because Dreamworks will be animating alongside Sony Pictures Frameworks and that's a good thing because they animated The Spiderverse movies
