When I was a kid the pop cans were made of thicker tin, and my dads old Jelly .22 would only penetrate one side, and make a bulge on the other. Then he bought me a Crossman pump, circa 1966 or so, and it went clean through.

I bought one of the BB versions when they first came out, really neat pistols. IIRC Colt basically gave them the blueprints so they could make them as close of a copy as possible, the main differences are the grip size for co2 (as you mentioned) and chamber dimensions I believe. If you pull the trigger and push the hammer forward, it even has the right number of clicks when you pull the hammer back. I believe there is a mod posted around that lets the hammer sit farther forward so that you get all the clicks every time instead of just 3.

I guess the barrel tube blows holes out the side. Mine works well yet just is slow. At 7yds I can see my pellet curve off.

I found that my CO2 Peacemaker is pellet picky,.. which means that you have to shoot with many types and weights of pellet before you can find the ideal pellet for your style of shooting. It is a fun shootin` iron but like all CO2 powered àir`guns it works much better if the ambient air is warm, i.e. a summer day., or in a heated indoor range area. Thanks for showing this one here on YT.

Most - if not all - projectile shooters are prone to being very finicky on what they want to sling accurately at a given reasonable distance. Be it powder burners or pcp/co2/springers, they will let you know fairly quickly what they like, given the chance. What has yours told you?

Springers are the worst, in general. PCP have alot to say on the subject also but i figure it all depends on one major thing - rifling or smooth bore. One can expect much from a smooth bore but rifled machines can also be very temperamental, specially in the .177 to .25 range with relatively low velocity like a air gun or even .22lr powder burners. Take care!

As far as safety is concerned...a transfer bar would have been the best way to go about it, without introducing scary things. Or maybe, as the heritage rough rider has done
