This one took almost exactly a year to get from script to screen, and I know that some of the topics went on to be covered on Brain Blaze and on other Whistlerverse channels in the meantime. But here’s hoping that the next Epic Blaze doesn’t take quite as long to make it to KZbin. In fact, fingers crossed, it should be popping up fairly soon, along with the tin opener that I lent Simon about nine years ago.

I'm convinced that Simon consumes copious amounts of alcohol before recording these videos. I've been watching him since almost the beginning, and he was much more low key. The stories were interesting, so I kept watching him. Over the last two years or so, he's really loosened up, going off on tangents, and sometimes just babbling, and now it's fantastic. It's like just sitting around with friends drunk and/or stoned. One of my favorite channels.

Right? I was just thinking that I've definitely got to go back and watch a bunch of stuff that I missed, because one of the first videos I saw from Simon, he was saying that he didn't want to share his own political views, that wasn't something he intended to do. This is a lot more like listening to a friend tell me about the crazy shit they found out about over the weekend, instead of getting a lecture on something I'm interested in enough to sit through it. So I definitely like and will be watching more of evolved Simon.

Medicine Hat is in Canada, thank you! And it's an interpretation of the Blackfoot word "Saamis," which refers to the eagle tail feather worn in a medicine man's headdress. Why it was called Saamis is explained in a couple of conflicting legends, so the truth of the matter may be lost to time...or at least not readily available to someone doing a 5 minute wiki dive because, yeah, Medicine Hat is an odd name, and I was curious why it was called that!. But yeah, English speaking people showed up and went "'Saamis' is to hard to say, we need to translate it! Oh, it's the feathers used to make hats for medicine men? Well, now it's Medicine Hat!"

Titanic had a coal fire possibly damaging the hull. They wanted to evaluate the rivets and determine if any correlation was measurable in the steel as the seam has opened up below the water line. We could ask OceanGate to grab one while they're down there picking up the biological confetti.
@nsbmiller
@nsbmiller 3 ай бұрын
Interestingly there is a theory that one of the things that kept the Titanic afloat for as long as it did was the fire. Because of the fire they'd moved a lot of coal from the affected bunkers on the starboard side to the port side of the ship. When the water flooded in from the breached hull it is proposed that the weight of the extra coal helped to keep the ship level, rather than listing hard to starboard and then capsizing as you might expect with a wound in just one side. Because she did not list to any great extent Murdoch and Lightoller were able to coordinate lifeboat launches from both sides of the ship. Compare that to the Costa Concordia where it became impossible fairly early on to launch boats from the port side.

Hmm. Avoid food dyes, artificial flavoring and preservatives. Also anything with poly, propylene glycol, and ethylene glycols. Maybe test genetics. Things like titanium implants and titanium dioxide arent great either. Caramel color, natural caffeine, and additive free nicotine is usually fine. My grandma, mom, me, and my kid are all hypersensitive with different reactions and sensitivity levels.. took me forever to figure out after years of medical and chemistry study.. and killed my grandma via wasting. Red food dye alone makes my kid go from huge vocabulary to non verbal head slamming and violent, usually major migraine. One point i was hallucinating and having nightly sleep paralysis, paranoia, and all sorta medical and mental issues. Even inhalers and too much tylenol is a problem. Fixed my diet, switched to all natural pipe tobacco, quit soda for bout 4 pots coffee a day some days.. and all went away. Also avoid vapes and synthetic meds/mary j. And yea if youre sensitive then those psyche meds trigger what theyre suppose to suppress. Hell most meds.

There is brain damage that can cause you to think those around you are replaced. One man suffered a head injury that removed his brain's ability to connect emotions to visual stimuli. He would see his parents but not feel the emotional connection to them that he should and he would swear that they were imposters. One way they tried to work around it was by giving him a call. His brain still connected emotions to sound. His parents would call him so he could hear their voice and connect to it and then enter the room while still talking to him over the phone so his brain would be prepared to except that they were his parents.

Finally, something I know! Mare is a female horse. If you're into MLP you learn more than you want about horses. Adults are stallions and mares, foals are younguns, colts and fillies. But that's irrelevant. It's a coincidence. Mare is the Latin word for sea. Super is the word for over, like über in German. The town has a Latin name. Weston-Super-Mare means "Weston above the sea." I'm assuming it's on a cliff. It's no more odd that Newcastle-Upon-Tyne or Statford-Upon-Avon.
@MrWheezyE420
@MrWheezyE420 10 күн бұрын
You got the "above the sea" part. But just to add to your comment, the Weston part is Saxon for West Tun or Town in the West. So Weston-super-mare is Town in the West above the sea.

Tbh, all of Simons rants are perfect themselves as Brain Blaze content. Also, ADHD/ADD equals zero concept of time. Like, we know it passes, but without a clock we'd have zero idea what time it is and any plans we make for our days are wholly unrealistic to even accomplish, purely because we consistently underestimate the amount of time it will take, because we have no concept of time whatso ever. Strangely enough we can still get stressed out.

Yes! I specifically clicked this when you mentioned it was an Epic Blaze in a different video! We need MOAR Epic Blazes. maybe have them like once every two weeks and the word "Epic" on the thumbnail Also, Medicine Hat is located in Canada where silly names are just how Canadians do stuff. Like... who names a city "Winnipeg"? I mean "Moose Jaw" is reasonable... but "Yellow Knife"? "Red Deer"? "Red Water"? "Colour Noun"? Also guess where the city of "Fort Saskatchewan" is located. If you guessed in the province of Saskatchewan, you'd be wrong. It is ACTUALLY located in the next province over of "Alberta" about a five minute drive from the Capitol of Alberta "Edmonton"--a name arguably as silly as "Calgary". Also, we shall not speak of anything the Newfies contribute, as that would kind of be cheating as I insist they are speaking a dialect of Gaelic >.>'

When I was a child, super young, like ages 4 - 9. I fully thought my Mum was a stranger wearing her face as a mask and one day she'd pull off her face and reveal all along she'd been a stranger pretending to be Mum. But that was the mid 1980's and Mum had terrible mental health so her abusive personality would swing wildly from hour to hour and day to day. You'd never know what unpredictable (or violent) mood she'd be in at any moment. Even many long psych ward stays and electro shock treatment couldn't stop that old battle axe. I think that's why I thought that with my whole heart, but it was so scary not only living with her but believing she was a stranger.

As a schizophrenic I know what you mean it must be terrible for a kid to be unleashed into the abyss of a human mind. When some or something breaks the human mind we live in an alternated reality. I was actually very lucky they call it the Alice in wonderland effect. I painted all good. And the wickedness of all lies and abuses and the filthy conspiracy of the outer world, run through you all at ones. Than future kicked in, I felt the battle over AI and all humanity hacking each other stealing your most pressured good the creation of your own words. Don't know why some called it data its probably male. I had to fight a never ending war between the uprising community of the muslims and the leftover Europeans. Actually just what happens now. Nowadays we have pills wich stop it all, just the doctors tell you to take them till you die and as the years for me it was 2 years pass by you feel your braincells die. You can't find words, you feel numb. It's just another way of being lost. Just a few are hard enough to go through the withdrawal. There I am a free mind again. What you have seen as a child I wish I could tell you, it's like 1 to 20 different minds at once that you saw in her. Once upon a time we people used to live somewhere farther away from the village, we where small communities we knew every soul. But farther away for us to be protected, when people needed guidance they came to us because we are empaths, they would listen to us and we where allowed to lead their ways. My ancestors where Celts for me it fits. Nowadays in the cities and with globalization and no one teaching us how to cope when we get hurt we get so many different strange souls who we feel, hear and see. I think that more and more people are developing that side was once called a blessing and witch the catholic church burned to the ground. Witches, murder, beating lobotomy, since a few hundreds years we are no allowed to live amongst you again. Maybe even it's just a stories from Alice im Wonderland you might understand it a little better child.

Ive seen food coloring and other petroleum waste products in food and meds cause similar shocking mood swings. Heck also saw titanium stints and cheerwine cause my grandmother to waste away... And prob similar contributed to the twice she pulled a handpew on me as a teen over going to see a girl she didnt like. Took me having health issues after a dental implant plus my kid goin nuts from red food dye.. and genetic workup to even get half a clue as to the why. Seems we arent meant to consume large quantities of polymers, metal waste, artifical oil, and coal tar waste products, go figure. Point being, might have been knowingly...but maybe not. Shts so common irs almost impossible to figure out without a lot of chemestry and medical research.

funny point about "unsinkable": The RMS Rhone (Royal Mail Steam Packet Company: RMSP) was deemed "unsinkable" before being sunk in a storm in 1867. RMSP hadn't had enough "bad judgement press", so they bought the White Star Line years after the unsinkable Titanic (of the White Star Line) sunk.

I had a boyfriend who developed schizophrenia around his 30th birthday. It was awful. When someone you love ends up believing terrible things and living in constant fear you REALLY want to help. Knowing what he believed about doctors (or any/ everyone) being out to get him, getting help was impossible. However the believing people are robots is actually a REAL THING!! That's when I had to leave. He ended up believing that "they" had killed his dead cousin (who really had died) and replaced him with a robot that was going to kill him. That was bad, but when he started saying that my children were robots and he was going to prove it by cutting them open... We fled. Ending a ten year relationship. The whole thing is heartbreaking and dangerous. I had him committed a few times, but each time they kicked him out after 72 hours. He still suffers. Doesn't trust anyone. Doesn't believe he has this disease. He's currently in another homeless shelter because he can't keep a job, get help or even go home to his family because he truly believes that everyone is out to kill him.
