I've been practicing for a while (like a year) and definitely have seen benefits. I like to do the breathing exercise first and then go climb in the freezer full of cold water on my back porch. My aches and pains are reduced but more than that it's the calm I have experienced in and out of the water because I've learned to control my reaction to the cold. As Wim puts it "The cold is merciless". It forces me to focus on controlling my breath and my mind to remain calm. Another benefit I credit to the Method is the fact that I haven't had so much as a case of the sniffles in a year either. I've always been pretty healthy so I don't know if it's a direct result but I believe it. Enjoyed the video and nick is a d-ck

I've jumped in the ocean in the winter or just walked outside in just shorts in the cold. Ive also done Cold showers for a shock as well. You made a great point that these companies need to down talk you healing your own body because there is no money in that! I think doing this stuff has great benefits for the body because I always feel great after.

I have seen benefits in my own from the method. The funny thing is...placebos do not work on me.
