@@Feignlander with respect, yes it was clinical depression, trauma from childhood and lifelong anxiety. Wims way of life gave me something, I can't explain it in words, but this, mixed with a few other things I was doing, made me want to change and stop waiting for change to happen for me. Me, powerful? I would have never said so, but heating Wim talk about how we all have a power within we've forgotten about, it helped. It wasn't easy at all and it's still an ongoing effort, but I can say I'm happy for the first time in my life and that's because I found my power and I put in the work I needed to, to change my life.

I am homeless, I live in my car. After losing my young mother suddenly to death, my husband leaving me unexpectedly, being forced to sell my home after divorce, losing a lucrative job I'd fought for, and losing my extended family who turned their backs on my children and I after my mother's death in 2023... I didn't care to live, but I couldn't take my life. I had no will to fight to live...I didn't care one way or another about life...as a matter of fact, I beckoned death...he didn't come for me. I packed my car and left the town that I grew up in and moved to Texas, where I drive Uber and live in my car and try my best to LIVE again. Up until now, I've only gone through the motions of life. Meaning, I feel nothing, not even pain, or the bad emotions. I just tried the thing where Wim said exhale and hold your breath, and from first try, my heart BEAT thunderously and I felt SHOCK. 2nd time my brain recalled all the trauma of last year in 2 seconds, and tears welled up in my eyes. 3rd time, I was balling, crying so deeply...like I've never cried before in my life...and now I FEEL EVERYTHING!! My mind seems UNBLOCKED!! I can THINK, FEEL,....EXIST RIGHT HERE WHERE MY FEET ARE. whereas before, life felt unreal...like I was gone...not here!.. I'm intrigued!! How can I do more with this?

Winter is a season that often brings a deep sense of gratitude for its unique beauty and profound quietude. The cold, crisp air carries a refreshing clarity, and the blanket of snow that often covers the landscape transforms everything into a serene, white wonderland. This season encourages us to slow down, offering a time for reflection and introspection as the world outside rests. The warmth of a cozy home becomes more appreciated, and the joys of simple pleasures, like sipping hot cocoa by a crackling fire or watching snowflakes drift gently from the sky, feel even more special. Winter's chill fosters a closeness among loved ones, as we gather together for warmth and comfort. It’s a time that reminds us of the importance of rest and renewal, providing a natural pause that allows us to be thankful for the quiet moments and the gentle beauty of a world at peace.

Your dad hears your opinion and wants you to know he understands many more things now he is out of his physical body, and that he is happy. Also, he can soar over the tops of the Alps and get around a lot faster now since Spirits are light energy they move at the speed of light and with practice can manipulate energy to show physical signs they are still able to see and hear loved ones. I feel better about myself as I don't conform and go from one subject to another in study and various hobbies and ideas, and I have strong trust in my inner feelings and my character, and have total self belief in that I know I can learn or achieve what ever I put my mind to. Growing up I thought I was un able to learn due to the adults and school kids in my life telling me I was dumb or unco ordinated. I am so happy learning and growing and helping people in any capacity I can. Your description of your dad rang so true to my mind of myself I believe it drew your dad to me so I could pass on that message to you. God Bless you and your family 😇🥰🙏

You learn ways to cope with and overcome the trauma, even turn some of it around and help others heal from their trauma or pain. In other words the parts of your experience that you learn to heal and live with in a healthy and productive way becomes part of who you are. Don’t try to get rid of the trauma or pain. He said she had schizophrenia. She was a squatter when he met her. Many squatters (obviously not all) have severe mental illness and/or drug addiction. He said his wife had schizophrenia and bipolar, which today is called schizoaffective disorder. That combination of mental illnesses is very devastating with a high rate of suicide. Wim said she wanted to have another child but he told her she had to get mentally healthy first. A year later she committed suicide. Their youngest child was 7 years old at the time of her death. It wasn't postpartum depression in her case, although that can be a serious mental illness as well.

I have all the time in the world for wim, we dont know each other but he saved me from the pain of a deep depression. Ice baths / cold showers and breathing all released emotions and allowed me to heal. It sounds so airy fairy but its all very real and just works. A great man i will always have time for. Good interview.

I feel like Steven was fighting for his LIFE to try to keep the conversation “on track” 😂 I live in the Netherlands and I feel like many Dutch men of a certain age hold conversations in this very fluid, semi-tangent style
@ingagud3 ай бұрын
Ha yes! I’m Dutch and not living there since 8 years. It’s a challenge to listen to him at times as he is always “on” and definitely is something very cultural in his communication style and e Steven did a great job to keep track of the conversation! But, nonetheless interesting content once you can get past of the intensity of speaking 😊😅

ADHD with an aging brain that is nearly always in hyperstate. He's always ready. But he definitely has ADHD. He triggers my ADHD when I hear him talk. And he's exactly like a colleague of mine who is 64 with diagnosed ADHD. I think they might even have a similar DISC personality. HA!

We are surrounded by negativity and people who perpetuate it. It's difficult to be unaffected by it because it's such a strong emotion.
@lauradaranas16173 ай бұрын
I have been in your state of mind so I feel moved to offer some insight. I hope you take it in the same friendly spirit as it is offered. Negativity is not an emotion, is an attitude. Emotions need to be felt and expressed and correctly processed. You can feel sadness and dissapointment without translating that into negativity. Attitudes, if not serving you well, just need to be changed. It’s a decision one has to make. If you’re surrounded by negativity you can find new surroundings. If things continue to be negative in the new place then maybe it was you all along. If it is definitely your surroundings, and you cannot change them for whatever reason, be positive in the midst of negativity. This has nothing to do with other people, it's a responsibility one has to oneself. One way to get there is by being patient and compassionate to yourself and cultivating a positive inner talk. This helped me: Imagine you're gardener and your mind is the garden. How would you grow a garden?

@@lauradaranas1617 Yes well said Laurie inc. we have the responsibililty towards ourselves to promote and support our own inner happiness. CBT or cognitive behavioral therapy founded by Dr. Aaron Beck encourages ongoing awareness of one's thoughts and feelings. Dr. Beck said he found most people who were depressed had faulty perspectives of their reality ie. low view of themselves, feeling unworthy of this beautiful gift of existence. When we each own our own intrinsic preciousness our internal vibrations lift and we not only feel deep joy and a sense of well-being but can act as a positive presence for others to use to lift their own vibrations if they wish too. All the best to you and everyone.

SB didn't handle this that well. Wim Hof came to the studio with this immense, unparalleled energy. The spirit of unbridled potential. And I could feel how uncomfortable SB was during certain parts when WH did his own thing and went outside the prescribed lines. I enjoyed watching this freedom of spirit tremendously, hoping it was a lesson for SB. Sometimes it's better to take a step back if a force we can't match is before our own eyes and let the force do its magic, allowing it to lead us for a change.

Learning the science and WimHofs incredible stories behind it all... has inspired me to get into this more seriously. What a powerful method for positive change... it sounds like this is not just individually life changing but also... what an immense impact this could have on society at large. I was so impressed by this episode, and so moved by this incredible man. What a big heart and soul, what a huge life force... and what an impact he is creating in the world! Luckily, my spouse and I were able to pay off our mortgage early. We took the money we were spending to accelerate our mortgage repayment and invested it right away while we were both still working. We were able to retire early after accumulating what would have been our home payment for over 7 years and maxing out our 401K/403B plans. Thankfully, both of our parents taught in us the importance of living within our means.

Investors can have different investing results even with the best strategy and suitable assets. Understanding how experience plays a critical part in successful investing is key. Since I was aware of this, I consulted a market analyst for advice, which helped me build my account to about a million dollars. Having strategically cashed out just prior to the market correction, I'm now taking advantage of buying opportunities once more.

Despite of all his Guinness world records, ability to change his immune system response through pranayama and cold immersions.. he is still caring a grief of the loss of his wife… that trauma is so deep in him that it makes me think he is blaming himself for losing her. All his achievements seems to be a way to either “punish” himself or distract through the process..Anyway, amazing interview @TheDiaryOfACEO as well as the one with Steve-O
@sheilaclancy23553 ай бұрын
Yes i agree that he still has grief regarding his wife. No one method has all the answers, but he is definitely correct about saying that human beings have a tremendous potential and we know nothing about it. We have the power through breathing to activate the parasympathetic system which relaxes and repairs. Also the awareness of the power of words is astonishing, every world resonates in the body and effects the biochemical mechanics of all the systems of the body. So we have to tap into this potential, I certainly have done it.

Then I heard a new sound: a living sound, like the richest, most complex, most beautiful piece of music you've ever heard. Growing in volume as a pure white light descended, it obliterated the monotonous mechanical pounding that, seemingly for eons, had been my only company up until then. The light got closer and closer, spinning around and around and generating those filaments of pure white light that I now saw were tinged, here and there, with hints of gold.
