The Witcher 3 - dialogue about Saskia

As far as I can tell, the only reference of Saskia in TW3 is in this dialogue. And sadly, it does not reflect my imported savegame, in which I cured Saskia of the spell. Geralt acts as if he did not cure her. I hope this could be something to fix in future patch.

@@soddof7972 The Aen Aelle steamrolled everyone rofl. If you mean one-sided as in Saskia is frozen and shattered, then yes. They could have literally killed everyone lol. Frozen Geralt, could have killed him. There was no guarding against that. But they didn't. They only killed Vesemir because he was in their way and tried to kill Imlerith. Elves showed themselves as rather honorable.

I kinda hate how she and Ivoreth were cut. Because I spent like 3 play throughs trying to get my end game / save game just right, where she and her people come out ahead. Then all shes gets is a throw away line of dialog. I mean shes a freaking dragon for witchers sake.

Philippa knows Geralt removed the spell Saskia. If the devs didnt want you to have information on Saskia (I would have liked to), why couldn't they let her say "I have no notion of what happend to her after you removed the spell on her nor did I try to find out. I had other things on my mind, like surviving..." If you chose to get Triss she would have died all together and there would be no dialogue at all. It is just sloppy letting her say something completely different. Have they played their own games? I mean I love this game and find it amazing but they are making silly mistakes.

If you went Roche's path in W2, then Geralt could actually be the one to kill the dragon without knowing it was Saskia. That Geralt wouldn't even know Philippa ever controlled Saskia. To him, Saskia was just the virgin of Aedirn, nothing more.

Robert Stewart Well, of course. And unlike other devs, CD Projekt actually cares about the players. They really are the best developer at this time. But I think there is nothing wrong to give them feedback about these little things, they will actually be glad about it I think :)

You don't get this dialog in simulated save. I played the game 2 times before new game plus. 1st time with imported save and got to talk about Saskia 2nd time simulated save and there was no Saskia conversation. Probably not to confuse new player.

Yeah, probably. Still a shame the dialogue does not actually reflect the fact that I cured her and afaik it was never fixed.

8Paul7 I think they didn't really want to include Saskia in the game. Cause some mentioning or few line of extra dialog will bring joy to old gamer but confuse newer. Saskia needs more than some mentioning to explain her. Her character has more depth than most of the characters.

Altaïr Jensen well at least Saskia was elaborated upon in the comics that came with Hearts of Stone, although I haven't read it yet.

It's because Simulated Save doesn't actually simulate that choice. Morvan doesn't ask you any question about her.

They dropped the ball on that one. Even Iorveth is no where to be found either. Basically, Witcher 2 was a waste of time.

It was stated at the 10th anniversary panel at PAX that they devs wanted to put Iorveth in, but there wasn't any room for him, or his story didn't make any sense, but they did try to put him it, it just didn't get passed by the final cut.

@Achyuth Murlei it's not about lore sense. it's about how the choices you took, barely has any value in 3. which makes your 40 hour of playthrough kind of waste per se

It feels like CDPR never had any intention to make a direct to sequal to 2. they probably wanted 3 to be kind of a standalone title, so the new players can easily enjoy it without huge confusions
