The one card I really didn't like was the 'lose VP' cards. I agree that this game needs an expansion but I'm not sure they will ever release it.

I'm glad you enjoyed this game. It's been getting a lot of (undeserved, in my opinion) flack just because people were expecting it to be something different than it ended up being. If you appreciate the game for what it has to offer, it's a solid one. (PS: Go Vandals! ;) )

Drive Thru Review yeah I've been there a couple times. Friday nights isn't the best for me, and they tend to gravitate mostly towards very light games, so I usually leave just wanting more :) I appreciate you looking it up though!

Thanks for another excellent review. Just the right amount of time spent on the details (mechanics, rules and components) and I really have a good idea about how the game plays based on your analysis at the end. I'm a big fan of the designer (Robinson Crusoe is crazy good), but some of the reviews on BGG made this sound too much like a race and not as much of an adventure. I'm wondering: With the two action limit, is it really worthwhile to spend time developing your character? Or can you simply run around the board and fight to rush to victory?

There will be several encounters basically impossible to complete if you don't develop your character at least a little.

I've been enjoying the iOS App version of this game. Is there any major differences to the physical version that I should give it serious consideration (outside of my desire to contiunally add to my board game collection)?

There are actually a couple of minor rules differences based on how the app does some stuff for you automatically. But, they are honestly very minor, and might even be fixed in the app at some point with a patch.

I think the game used to retail for 50$ or 60$ MSRP, but you should be able to find it for much cheaper now.
