That rock inside the mosque is far too jagged, elevated and rough for a threshing floor. There's an area 90 metres north north west of the centre of the Dome of the Rock comprising naturally flat and smooth stone, not covered with flag stones, that seems a more likely candidate for a threshing floor.

Exactly. The Temple stood directly in line with the Eastern Gate which is still there today. It was located in the empty section just north of the Dome of the Rock. This Glick guy is claiming the pillars in front of the Dome are the Eastern Gate. That is nonsense. The Eastern Gate was and still is part of the wall surrounding Jerusalem. You can see it on the overhead maps they show, just north of the Dome in the wall itself. It is currently closed shut. I think they just are afraid if they show the actual site they will have to share the platform, seeing as how both would fit.

Except they can build both the temple and the mosque on the Temple Mount. In Revelation, they're told to ignore the courtyard, because the area it would cover has been given to the Gentiles. If they just build the temple, it will fit nicely next to the mosque on Temple Mount. You might also be interested in the fact that Israel now has three confirmed unblemished red heifers and the altar they'll use to sacrifice them has been built. They started with three but one was disqualified and there's unconfirmed rumor that another has as well. Also, according to the Hebrew calendar, this year is called the Year of the Red Heifer. Also, rumors claim Israel is planning on sacrificing them this year. The facts say that the Muslims who started the war in Israel did it because of those cows. It's really looking like Christ will return within the next decade.

The fortresses, castles, and pagan temples were all built on the temple mount. The Jebusites castle would have been there as well. It's important to remember that David conquered the Jebusites yet purchased the threshing floor. Scripture makes it clear, the temple was built in the city of David which is Mt. Zion. Ezekiel describes a spring beneath it. Paul after being arrested at the temple, ascended the steps to the roman fortress Antonia before addressing the crowd. Josephus describes the fortress as being able to house 12,000 soldiers plus servants. The dome of the rock is actually where the slave quarters were, not the temple. Herod could see from his castle the activities of the temple looking down upon it. The temple was on the crescent shaped mount of Moriah, the city of David, Mount Zion which is separated from the temple mount by the Kidron Valley, and was directly over the Gihon Spring.

Good words, haste conclusion. Traditions sometimes forget the original. Arguments for that: nowhere in the Bible does it say that the place where Abraham was ready to sacrifice his son is the place of later Temple. However, there is enormous symbolism of another Son being judged at the judging stone to be sacrificed for all of us. For Christians the stone under the Dome of the Rock is inevitably that place, place of would be sacrificial altar for Abraham to give up his son and place where Jesus, the Son of God was judged to be sacrificed. Bible states that the judgement stone was in the Roman Fortress, not in the Temple. Another missed clue is threshing floor. Threshing floors are not on the peak of rugged hills. They are nice, flat land surfaces. We know what is under the Temple Mount, rugged, rocky, sharp and uneven peak, top of it the Judgement Stone. Where are nice, flat areas above the original Palace of David? To the West of it. That is where later Ottomans easily built modern Jerusalem city walls. Bible unequivocally states that not a stone will be left standing of it when destroyed. Hence, Western Wall can't be part of it. Somewhere along Southern Ottoman Jerusalem city walls is the location. The greatest hints are the two roads/cardos of the old city. Leading to where the real Temple once was, likely Eastern and Western ends of it.

It is unacceptable as the temple site simply because what this guy Glick claims is the Eastern Gate is not even a gate. The Eastern Gate is just behind him to the north in the wall of the city, where all the gates of the city are, connected with the wall, like all good gate do. No some pillars standing by themselves in an open space. What kind of gate is that? It is right there visible in the overhead maps/ This puts the temple site just north of the Dome of the Rock, to the side of it, not in the same spot.

Based on Acts 21:31-40, we know the Roman fort was above the temple because the soldiers had to go “down” to rescue Paul from the mob at the temple. The Temple Mount is not where the Temple stood at all. That is where the Roman Garrison was. The Temple was in the city of David which is 600 feet from the western wall. The Western Wall was never part of the Temple. Yeshua himself said that every stone would be cast down and nothing would be left of the Temple. The western wall isn’t part of the temple. It is a retaining wall that the temple was built on top of. Nothing of the second temple remains, only those pillars which resided just outside the temple so that Gentiles could view what was taking place in the Temple Mount grounds.

What does it matter if its location is on Mount Moriah or on Mars?! It was a building that symbolized the presence of God among His people, and when Christ, who was the true and holy son of God, came and was crucified, died, rose again, and then ascended to heaven, this building was no longer of any use. Notice the tearing of the veil of the temple after Jesus’ death on the cross and his prediction that he would not remain. Stone upon stone of this temple, Christ opened the door to worshiping God for everyone in the spirit and in every place and time and not in a specific area, at least the Church of the Resurrection, in whose place the great redemption took place, is more important...even the Western Wall is a wall built by the Romans and not by The Temple...and crying is a phenomenon that dates back only about 300 years

2 Chron. 5 does not say the Temple was not built in the City of David. It says the Temple furnishings were brought up (out of) the city for a celebration, including the ark of the covenant. The City of David is too small for such a large celebration and had to be brought out. After the celebration, where was the building it was put back into? The context for the celebration is the City of David. Wouldn’t the Temple be in the Holy City? It’s the Holy City! 1 Kings 8:1 says the City of David is the Holy City or political and religious capital (Zion) (also 2 Sam 5:7, 9; 2 Chron. 5:2), which is the original walled Jerusalem before Jerusalem expanded to the present size (2 Samuel 5:9; 1 Chron. 11:4, 5, 7, 8). Zion could in general be referred to as Jerusalem (Psalm 52:1), but specifically it was the City of David part of Jerusalem (1 Kings 8:1). David’s palace was built in the City of David and the city was considered holy because the Ark of the Covenant had been there to the city (1 Chron. 15:1; 1 Kings 8:1; 2 Chron. 7:11; 8:11) - this was stated after the Temple was completed. Apparently in 2 Chron 8:11, the house for Solomon’s wife could be built in Jerusalem since the ark had not been there, but her house was not allowed in the City of David as the city was considered holy due to the ark’s presence - that’s where the ark was, in the Temple (1 Kings 8:20, 21). That praise guild was also by David’s palace (Neh. 12:37), which is in the City of David (1 Chron. 15:1; 2 Chron. 8:11). Extrabiblical: Josephus points to the Lower City when mentioning the Temple, describing a valley that used to be there but was filled in to connect the city and temple. The “Temple Mount” is not in the Lower City, but the City of David is. WHEN THERE IS GOING UP, THERE SHOULD BE GOING BACK DOWN, but instead, after GOING UP, NEXT WAS GOING IN, same applies to 1kings 8, when verses 1 to 5 talk about going up, verse 6 then talks about going in, no where does it talk about going back down. 2chron 8:11 is saying the City of David once had the Ark so remains holy todate, the places(plural) to which the Ark has come are forever Holy. Nehemiah 12:37-40 is talking about the boundaries of the wall, not the Temple, Nehemiah's walls included both the City of David and the temple mount, infact verse 38 talks about the opposite boundaries which are beyond the Temple mount.. That mount is a Roman fort. The temple was build on a natural spring and next to the market of the Jews. The natural spring shows the original place. On the mount there is no spring.
