We love this card set! My 4 year old really likes The Scrambled States of America game, but he wanted to play with all the countries, so we use these cards with the stack of red cards from the Scrambled States game. Weirdly specific, but if you’re in these comments, I assume you’re the closest target audience of my comment. These are our house rules, if anyone is interested. Looking at it, it seems like a lot, but most of the cards are pretty straight forward. State=Country and that’s all you need to do. Ex. Country has 4 or more syllables, touches at least 6 other countries, touches the Pacific Ocean etc. If the card is about the nickname, we let it be about the country name OR it’s capital. Country OR capital has 3 or more words, country OR capital starts with E, F, or G etc. If it’s a color card, like state is blue, orange, purple, green, or brown, we play that the flag needs to contain that color. We learned the flags with purple and brown pretty quickly. For the cardinal directional cards, the only one we needed to modify was “country is west of Kansas.” We made it “west of Kuwait.” South of Colorado and north of Nebraska work fine, and east of Missouri is pretty much a gimme. Touches Tennessee=country borders Russia Touches Canada or Mexico=country borders China or Brazil Showing teeth/not showing teeth=flag does/does not contain one or more stars Shows 0, 1, or 2 eyes=the country name contains the letter “i” exactly that many times. Border has 3+ straight edges.. we changed it to flag has 3 equal bars, could be going horizontally or vertically, like France 🇫🇷 or Russia 🇷🇺 for example. Nickname has plant or animal on it=Flag has plant or animal on it. Is wearing something=country touches 2 or more countries directly above it. Nickname does not contain the word state=country does not border any other countries. Oh editing to add, we often play with a lot of countries and don’t draw new ones. Like we will start out with any from 10-25 and go through and see who runs out first.

Is Kosovo in it? Some people don’t specify it as a country

What benefit is it gonna do to a kid to know the highest point or the area of a country? There are tons of other things about a country that’s much more important.

I am a huge geography buff so I ordered this yesterday. I just got it today and noticed you are missing a few places. Palestine 🇵🇸, Kosovo 🇽🇰, to start. Also, you labeled The UK as one country when in fact it is compiled of 4 countries (Scotland 🏴, Wales 🏴, England 🏴, & Northern Ireland which there’s no emoji for).

Hello DJ, the game is made out of 194 countries that are active mambers of UN to avoid any political problems. I hope you understand.

@@dro18. I understand that, but I think it would have been better to include them as a way of sympathizing instead of ignoring them. And what about the UK? The UN recognizes Scotland, Wales, England, & Northern Ireland

These are possibly the most confusing instructions for what looks to be straight forward. Anyway - the quality of cards is really nice, the instructions… meh.
