Now the world knows how Philippines celebrate New Year. It’s a Thanksgiving of the year that pass and a hopeful new beginnings for the next year. We believe those fireworks would ward off evil and bad lucks away. You wouldn’t want to be in the streets on new years midnight. Everyone is with their families celebrating. This is a tamed New Year celebration compared before the government became more strict because people were losing limbs due to the fireworks. Happy New Year from the Philippines

These foreign vloggers ought to see the action right down on our streets! With the endless New Year parties and ear wrenching karaokes, the food, that is the Media Noche feast, and of course, when we set off firecrackers and fireworks on the streets, enough to blast our eardrums away! I wonder how they would have perceived New Year here in the Philippines once they experience what it takes to see our Sinturon ni Hudas?

I spent new year in Philippines back 2015, there are lots of colorful firecrackers which are banned today so most of what I've seen is like half of what 2015 offered. They toned it down to lower hazard, it amazed me how Filipinos able to buy fireworks that lots we know how expensive that is if I would buy dozen.

Aside from the fireworks, everybody needs to have a something to make noise with, kids would be blowing horns, mother's love their coin shaking and pan banging. There is even an exhaust muffler specially made for New Year, those who can't afford it attaches horn, loud sounding metal sheets to their car/motorcycle exhaust, some utilizes the backfire to make noise. All sirens blow up, from Church Bells, Police Mobiles, Firetrucks and Ambulances. It's wild wild here at New Year's Eve.

Few hours before midnight, it already starts to be dangerous walking the streets. I remember there were many tires in the middle of the streets and that’s where people throw the fireworks. Your ears hurt bcoz it’s so noisy and when you clean your nose, it’s so black bcoz of the smokes. New year’s celebrations in the PH is nothing compare. When Filipinos party, we go all out.

Imagine the whole cities even in provinces we lit fire crackers and fireworks even they government forbids to lit firecrackers they cant stop the tradition but we do our part aswell we have a bucket of water outside the house just so if accidental fire blow up. We also have big loud speakers also to hype the celebration. We enjoy the firecrackers and fireworks each neighbors have something to lit up we just let others go first then if some space to have our firecrackers to lit then its our turn. The funny thing is we ate about 30min after the fireworks because its so crazy out there and we hug or handshake our neighbors on celebration plus kids do jumping here and there bec they believe that by doing that they will became even more taller. Other beliefs that we should bang our own piggy bank or have some money in our pockets to bring us luck on 2024. In the morning when the sun is out already, if lucky you have some chinese neighbors they some reasons invite dragon dance to add to the festive and we see that red pockets which hung at their door step were eaten by the dragon its so entertaining. Happy New Year to everyone may we have a bountiful and healthy 2024

peeps have been thinking to preposition vid cameras to simultaneously cover from above skyscrapers, & at ground level and some added drone angle drama for a certain target location or general view area. but with things happening differently and unpredictably all the time, most simply deduce the effort and cost wouldn't add up to be bothered with. besides a blogger or just about anyone else would simply revert to enjoy his/her time with family at the moments joy and bliss. millions of filipino do and will take video of their unique NYE celebrations from their point of view. but by the ff day, most won't event post them as public posting as most will think there's always something out there that would outclass them or considered old. BTW ground level (At major cities) are mostly noise at extreme decibels: plastic horn noises, banging metals, bike engines without mufflers etc - and big firecrackers nearing dynamite strength.
