All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all. Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colors, He made their tiny wings. The rich man in his castle, The poor man at his gate, God made them high and lowly, And ordered their estate. The purple headed mountain, The river running by, The sunset and the morning, That brightens up the sky;− The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruits in the garden,− He made them every one. The tall trees in the greenwood, The meadows where we play, The rushes by the water, We gather every day;− He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell How great is God Almighty, Who hath made all things well.

This is 2023 and I am 70 years of age. Kevin was very special. Very special. BTW, he had a pet tarantula spider. Yes, he did hunt and trap poisonous snakes to extract venom for medical purposes. Yeah, Kevin, people in Aurora/Denver/Thornton, etc., remember and adored you. Peace be with you.

Vets ALWAYS have the best stories. My local vet was attending a down cow after she calved. Internal bleeding couldn't save her, had to be put down. Farmer brings out the rifle to finish the job. Vet was finishing up gathering various tools and such while the farmer took aim. The cow lurched at the last second as the farmer pulled the trigger. The bullet ricocheted off the cows skull and hit the vet in the knee. Our fearless vet, never having been shot before, didn't think it was a big deal and finished his rounds for the day. He went to emergency that evening because "it really started to hurt" only to be lectured by an incredulous young doctor that he should have come to the hospital immediately after being shot! Our fearless vet assured the doctor that he would indeed come to the hospital immediately the next time he was shot!

Always good with Dry Bar. So nice to see "clean" comedy. The very last story about that weasel faced nurse...I actually have one of my own. I repaired copiers, printer, fax machines, and Dictaphones up in Eureka, CA back in 2002-2004. I crawled my way into the ER after driving myself despite the abdominal pain--thank God for that very observant ER nurse who came running out with a wheelchair--and, after an MRI and CT scan was doped up on pain meds--Hello, Morphine, my old friend!--I was told I was checking in right then and there. When a room was available at the Eureka, CA, St. Joseph's Hospital--same organization Dr. Fitzgerald mentioned--I was wheeled out on a gurney to the elevator, taken to the 3rd floor. As soon as the door open, the grizzled maybe/maybe not old war veteran grandma nurse took one look at me and recognized me (I was the tech who always fixed the fax machine at THAT nurse's station) and started grinning with this S eating grin and we locked eyes as I was wheeled from the elevator down the hall, and said: "How does it feel to be on the other end of the stick, sweetie?" I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and had to have surgery to remove 2 arms' lengths of bowels during that stay. Te night after my surgery, I had a rather cute, young nurse come check on me as I had gotten tangled in the tubes and help untangle me. She had such a soft, velvety voice that, despite being hopped up on so serious morphine, I still remember the sound of her voice and her gentle face. But, the Demon Murphy was gunning for me that night as well: a drug detox patient came through that floor that night. After literally having a sideways C-section and medically disemboweled, the noise from the banging, startling me...REALLY HURT MY MID SECTION BEYOND WHAT THE CROHN'S did. The day after, my AHole of a best friend, at the time, came to visit and insisted on making me laugh. Ahh...good times.

A buddy of mine once had a dog that he had had for many years. Recently, his dog just up and collapsed on the floor. Fearing the worst, he picked up the dog and drove as fast as he could to the veterinarian. He was quickly ushered into the exam room and he placed the dog on the exam table and began crying, “Doc, ya gotta save my dog! We've been friends forever and I don't know what I'd do without him!” The vet did a quick cursory examination of the dog and said to my friend, “I'm sorry to tell you this, but it's too late.” “Oh, doc!”, my friend continued blathering “Isn't there something else you can do? Some other test?” The doctor thought for a moment and said “Hold on”. He stepped out for a second and he came back in, leading a huge Labrador retriever. The lab jumped up, placing its front paws on the table, sniffed the dog, and began to howl mournfully. The doctor said, “Yes, sir, this supports my finding that it's too late.” Still not satisfied, my friend blathered, “Doc, isn't there just one more test, one more test that you could do?” The doctor said “Well, there IS one more test. Just a moment. He quickly returned, this time holding a cat, which he placed next to the dog. The cat sniffed the dog a couple times and began to meow happily. The vet said “Well, sir, both tests confirm my finding that your dog has passed away. I'm sorry.” Barely consolable, my friend says, “Okay, doc. How much do I owe you?” The vet promptly replied, “That'll be two thousand, eight hundred, and sixty two dollars.” “WHAT?!” my friend exclaimed. “Why are you charging me so much?” “Oh,” the vet replied. “I'm not. My fee is only sixty two dollars. What kills you are the lab fees and the cat scan!"

Clean fun, its awesome to see a Vet obviously chasing a 2nd passion, Comedy or entertaining people and good at it. Having experience speaking at Vetearían events helps, i would pay to see Doc!

I remember him from an old (1990’s) Discovery Channel/Animal Planet show about a clinic in Denver. Awesome to see him still in practice, funny, and fantastic.
