@@jeremytanmagic As long as you don’t mind my talking in magic speak (it’s a long trick so it would take a bit), I will after seeing it now twice. In short, all I’m really unsure of is the method you used to have the 55 cards in the stack required to do this, but there definitely is a 55 card stack from the moment you make 10 separate piles. Since you know 10 cards are in the A♠️ pile, and that every pile will be reverse counted, I could easily reverse engineer the stack (bc I can tell you what it ends with after we remove A-10 of spades). A deck switch to a stacked deck would work (aka ringing in a cooler). I don’t see a servant though, and I saw no lapping. But there are more than one deck switches that can be done right in front of everyone, ESP seated, bc you can just lap the freely shuffled deck (I have a trick where I do just that and ring in a New Deck Order deck as a matter of fact! I use one of the deck switches Daniel Madison teaches). I could do this trick by taking the stack these are in and ringing in that cooler with the simple deck switch I mentioned (there are 2 very easy ones that are invisible when done right) but I do not think you did that - not that I caught. ***But… I do know that no magician just shows the faces “to show the audience they’re clearly mixed.” There’s always a reason. Maybe to locate your keys in advance, but we magicians only do that when we have a good reason to! I can speculate on why you do it here, but that’s all it would be. The rest: 1) You had to have 55 cards to cut 10+9+8…+2+1 and have EXACTLY 10 cards in pile one, 9 in pile 2, down to the Ace in the last pile so it has just the one card. Absolutely great idea 💡). That’s EXACTLY 55 cards (so 52 + Jx2 + Ad Card) gives us the correct number of cards in each pile 2)You cut to the number of the corresponding card on bottom before reverse counting them to bring that bottom card to the top while putting the rest of our stack in order, and revealing 10 cards suited all in just 10 seconds ⏱️ Since the piles were then reverse counted, a simple method of cutting to exactly 10,9,8,7 etc can be done by muscle memory cutting to key cards again since we know the 10th card is the A♠️, 2nd card is the 2♠️… - in this case A♠️-10♠️. Easy enough for a pro bc if you’re off by 1-2 cards, you can briefly peak, and use your thumb to flip to your key. I believe you do the same thing at the end when you cut to the last 3 aces. The piles are put down in a very smooth manner, but you have to get all 10 piles right for the trick to work. The brief offbeat as you peak for key cards (like we do with perfect FARO’s when learning that move 1) K♣️ 2) A♦️3) 7♣️…8) 2♠️ 🟰 NDO). Spectators never know those are keys showing we have 26 & 26. After putting down the 10 piles, Reverse counting the piles puts A♠️-10♠️ on top of each pile, those are removed A-10 inside your hand. Those are laid aside & ribbon spread. This keeps you from having to reverse count yet again - so I like that, just put the ace in your non dominant hand, then the 2, ending with the 10♠️ The J, K, Q, (in that order) are on top now, ready for any production series so long as it retains our order. A) The Jack production retains full deck order. It’s just a false cut and flourish in one. B) Double lift, K♠️ shows, & allows for an easy find for the Q, and left the K♠️on top to be in position for a top shot (well executed btw). The spades are now done, but now is the perfect time to get rid of the ad card and jokers. B) The Ad card is 2nd from the bottom now, sandwiched between the Jokers. Get a break under two cards on bottom, double undercut to the top and get the ad card (which will now be on top after double cutting it to the top), remove it, leaving 1 Joker on top, one Joker on bottom. That toss to produce the Jokers is very old and in a few tricks (a playing card can even be found sandwiched between with a step in the bottom Joker and the selected card above the bottoms Joker, using the same hand positions for that toss). To execute, you retain the top card w/thumb, bottom with four fingertips, and toss pack lightly. All the Spades + the extra 3 extras have been found. The rest is simple… Now you peak for the Aces in a deck with King-Ace suited x 3 as you cut the 3 piles using the same method of muscle memory & using your thumb to flip on or pull up a miss if you’re off by 1 or 2 cards (bc K-A, K-A, K-A from top to bottom is the situation the deck is innow), allowing you to turn over each pile to show the last 3 aces. You then just reverse count from left to right 3 times, and the trick is done. What I haven’t figured out is how the spectators shuffle and I didn’t see any deck switch. I could perform that trick now if I rang in a cold deck doing either of the two deck switches I’m thinking of, and there are quite a few ways to do other deck switches too even if on stage or in the round…. But I do not think you did a deck switch. Did you somehow stack the deck in front of me? Or is there something I’m missing? 🧐 Wonderful trick though. And very, very well done. So how’d I do? I’m always interested in learning and/or conversing with fellow magicians! And sorry if I gave away anything if anyone reads this. Keep doing your thing. You’re very smooth and the moves I saw here are all done to perfection. It’s obvious you’ve been at this a while yourself!
