When Jim said he promised the twins years ago that they would never have to live in an institution, you could really see how much getting that project done meant to HIM let alone the twins. What a great guy! Everybody needs a brother like Jim😊

Thats what family used to be everywhere. In america not so much anymore. Very sad. My moms biggest fear was going to a nursing home or dying in a hospital. Unfortunately she did die in the hospital during covid times but she was only there for a day and we begged her to go because we thought she would get better. Thankfully they were kind enough to let us be there when she passed (all 7 kids and her husband) and she wasn't alone because they weren't letting other people die with family around that time. Makes me so sad that she died there but atleast she knows we never would of thrown her in a nursing home and she didn't have to live out the last year's of her life in a nursing home or hospital.

Wow! What a great blessing to have lived as long as they did! And to spend their last days with family. Jim, how special are you and your wife for bringing them into your home and family during their last years. And how special a community it is that came together and sacrificed their time and money to help these two special men. I feel so blessed having watched this and to know that there are people out there who genuinely care. Obviously, these boys were raised in a Christian home based on some of the comments I heard 😊Ronnie and Donnie were certainly a blessing to all that knew them. RIP Ronnie and Donnie. Imagine how scary this would be, I can't even imagine. My mother fell down in her home, while I was in the hospital, and she was very a very independent woman. She spoke to me daily on the phone, and she didn't tell me she had fallen until she had been on the floor for almost 24 hours. I sent her sisters immediately. She then refused to go to hospital, until I told her I was going to sign out and come home, against medical advice. She then went to er because she knew I would do it. She was having kidney failure, and might have died had she not went, ay that time. She passed now, and it's been hard, and that's a understatement. But this would be so scary.

WHIO reported that the two died in hospice care in Dayton, their brother Jim said. The Montgomery County coroner said their deaths were due to natural causes. Starting as children, the brothers appeared in carnivals and circuses as a sideshow attraction. Jim Gaylon told Mlive that their income supported their family for years. TLC aired a documentary about the men in 2010. RIP Donnie and Ronnie Galyon.
