I think Wiley Wiggins should be excused from this list. Constant awkward tics (like hair straightening and hover hands while posing for pics) are the norm for kids that age, especially when they're trying to fit in with the older kids. It's a self-conscious age where you're suddenly hyper-aware that you don't know wtf you should be doing with your hands.

Agreed. People want to focus on Michael Gambon's inaccurate portrayal of Dumbledore but the director and screen writers both could've told him he was playing him too aggressively in the first couple movies and didn't. @lauriedavies61837 жыл бұрын
You're obviously a critic that has no familiarity with what constitutes bad acting. Pitt was fantastic in Se7en. You're comparing Stewart's response with the response in the book as if the director didn't play a role in that scene, or as if any movie ever matches the book it's made after word for word. Your criticism is the equivalent of saying Jack Nicholson's a "bad actor" based on the sole premise that Kubrick's creative license with "The Shining" didn't adhere to King's book. That logic is absurd. The scene in "Dazed and Confused" was down to directing, a responsibility the director acknowledges. That fact aside, people do have nervous ticks. The kid was nervous in the scene. The frequent nose grabs, though annoying as most nervous ticks usually are, had no affect whatsoever on pulling my mind out of the story as bad acting would do. As for any other criticism you may've offered, I can't say... cause I stopped watching this shit 5 minutes in.

The only thing I have ever seen Kristen Stewart act well in was "Zathura." In this film she did what she does best; stood like a statue because her character was frozen. Her acting can best be described as wooden and flat. "What's in the booooooooooooooxxxx????" Yeah, fair enough. I never did like his delivery there, especially since he did so well in the rest of the film. Reeves took himself far too seriously as Jonathan Harker, I thought it was a pretty great film but Reeves worked to hard at it. Franco is just weird. Didn't see the rest...

I would take a bad American actor over the recent flow of British and Australian actors. Most of the bad actors listed here still had good to decent movies. Most likely because Americans are easy to relate to. The worst actors they have cost Hollywood a ton of money have been Henry Cavill, and the British actors from GOT. Sophie Turner is the worst actress on planet earth. Jon Snow and Emilia Clarke can't act unless they play some boring British character.

I think in general we forget to give people credit for that.
@johnh51847 жыл бұрын
Looper, you're out of your loopy minds criticizing Pitt in Seven. His reaction was spot on PERFECT for the hot-headed, immature, rookie detective that the movie established. It's his behavior regarding the box that gives the scene so much weight as it's contrasted with John Doe and Morgan Freeman and the movie's entire set-up for that moment. The good, yet immature detective got unwittingly played. And his response makes you almost like the horrorific John Doe. It's actually a brilliant contrast.

I can only agree with Vanderbeeks accent and Franco's overdone surprise and comic villainous reaction. Otherwise,...I've seen much worse. Pitt's reaction was a bit strange maybe,but memorable and I'm not sure the whines in his pleading wouldn't be pretty real as he seems to horrifically consider the possibilities. The nose toucher,well it seemed like a real geek moment and I think the directing was more the fault there. In fact editing and directing could be,NO is a big part in all but Reeves accent. That's on him. But I still like what he is good at. He was miscast. Not everyone is a Spacey,Dinnero,or Pacino...lol....prob our 3 greatest living actors. And even Spacey has his awkward moments. Still, quoting Rotten Tomatoes is like quoting Donald Trump on how to treat women. Film critics are individuals. Not scientists. Giving film critics any credibility above the expression of an individual's opinion is dishonest at best. what's in the box is epic! We say it so often when opening packages that our kids now say it without any idea where it comes from.
