I was massively PUMPED when AEW was announced. I even went to the first PPV in Las Vegas. Not to long before that PPV, my wife and I had went to an ROH PPV and some TV tapings and had an amazing time. The wife is a casual fan mostly but loved ROH. We both left the AEW PPV feeling a certain way. She said it before I could, "Ring of Honor was a lot better." Yeah it was. I rationalized back then that "well it's a brand new company so they had to sign all these vanilla Indy guys to fill time, we have to give them time to churn through those guys as they replace them with talented guys." Eh, sadly I gave it two years before finally throwing in the towel and giving up.
