It's alright if the story tries to explain why the villain is the way they are. There's plenty of stories and shows where the antagonist is more tragic.

Varian is giving the humble beginnings of a main character who didn't succeed even after all his sacrifices. To rub salt in the deep wound, he gets absolutely no credit for his work. So he learns to find a new way to achieve his goal. But for that he needed to start all over. And so without looking back, he did.

I Also write stories, i've doing so for about 2-3 years, no where near done writting the backstories😢😢😢, i got lazy so ill have to go back and fix them 😅😅😅. In my 2-3 years ive only started 2/~20 stories and their not anywhere near done, ones only on ch 3 and the other is on like ch 8. Ive chanlenged myself to publish it in 3-4 years. Im no where near done 😢 i have to work with the different power systems and currency. The policy the history the governments and the geography. The culture, world maps and planet and country names 😅😅😅 I also have to list the different species 😢😢😢 (why do i do this to myself😭😭😭) i love hearing others stories and this inspire me to work on my stories again 😂❤❤
