20:33 in a situation like this where you know the opponent is cheating, you should have lost the knight and kept going. Since he spends so much time at each move you are gonna win on the clock, even if the position and material is lost. A lot of the times the opponent doesn't know much about what he's doing and will stick to the engine even if there is mate in a few moves

Game two made me laugh so many times. Ne2 not dropping a piece, a5 stoping b6 Bc6, e5 stopping Bf6 and even c4 seemed extremely strong. I would have known it was a cheater by the second game alone. Also alot of nice ideas for us real chess players to work with.

The pace of Black's moves in the first game would have given me the vibes of cheating after 6 or 7 moves. I think I would have reported him well before the game ended.
@MiodragPerunovicOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Should I get that comment that I am not smart enough since I didn’t report him right away after 6-7 moves? 🤷♂️
@InfernalPurge2 жыл бұрын
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial That's not what I meant. In fact it is a smarter idea to play on for a bit, even if there is a strong suspicion: chess-wise it could well be an instructive encounter (seeing where the timing of h2-h3 mattered in the first game, and the Rh1-h2 move in the Dragon game most likely also has its theoretical value), and next to that it also generates more substantiary evidence to pursue further action. I meant that the constant 6-10 second pace from essentially move 1 would be an indicator, and that it pays to be wary of it if it remains that constant throughout because that can help other players detect a cheater. Equally, not speeding up when in severe time-trouble in blitz is quite a red flag as well. I'm on board with all your observations here. Reporting someone at move 7 because they played the opening slowly is rather nonsensical (although I must admit I once reported someone on move 4 because in a 3-minute blitz game after 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 they spent an overload of time performing both the 3.d4 thrust and the knight recapture after my customary premove 3...cxd4), but it would put me on the track of thinking that something might be wrong. And from that point on I would watch closely where it is going. It is always an accumulation of different factors that point in the same direction that makes up for a decent reporting, but I would always be happy with evidence that contradicts my suspicion. It's overall a good video, walking the viewers through the processes of detecting a cheater. The voice-over commentary is also done very well, nicely in sync with what is happening visually.

I liked the video but I completely understand, I've come across a bunch of cheaters myself knowingly by obvious signs like this video or I get messages that someone has cheated me and got points refunded in the past. The worst I had that was so obvious was when I recently hit 1900 rapid and a 900 wanted to challenge me so I thought why not to help him out with his chess so played three games and the person had it rated for the games and then got absolutely destroyed and when I went back to analyse with the in game engine. Every move was an engine suggestion (and in the game history he lost to other 900s with big blunders which got me confused) and thankfully got refunded those points after reporting the person. Crazy feeling for sure when you know someone is cheating against you.

Applying the 10-80-10 Rule: 10% of online players will *always* cheat 80% of online players will cheat given the opportunity with minimal risk of discovery 10% of online players will *never* cheat. So it follows that the probability of facing a cheater in online competition is 10%, but the *possibility* of facing a cheater is 90%

I really like your videos and I’ve learned a lot. I just don’t understand what the purpose would be in cheating. If you think about it the person cheating hates losing because he’s a loser and has never won anything in his life so he cheats to get that tiny sensation of what it’s like to win but he doesn’t have the mental capability to understand that he really didn’t win it’s a delusion exactly like Donald trump. There the best at one thing and that’s losing. Where’d the honor in that kind of win? It’s a hollow empty existence of narcissism

Csn you be more clear abd specific? 1- Don't talk too much too fast. 2- what are the clues somebody is using an engine. A ) Same time to answer each move? This would mean that the engine is making the moves direcyly. Only a very stupid cheater eould fo that. 2- Moves so overwhelming good that only can be the result of an exhaustive very deep calculation made so fast that only an engine could do that? 3 -Neutralize all your counter game in a fast unexpected move that any human would take too long to find if it were posible? Ok. Ok. Agreed. How about you and your game ethic? You try to force your opponents to play a game that you exaustively studied and practiced and if cannot prevail you get very upset? This is cheating without an engine, what is the difference? If a library are in your memory or in a machine. Is not your brain in a game is a library wich is the result of long hours studying from opening to finals each variation develoved by grand masters and engines. So, cheaters are those who go straight to the point and use an engine? YES, INDEED.!!! is today chess practice a cheaters game? YES, IT IS. But wait a minute it always has been. Those fucking genius studied every variant of every game they could learn and ended exausted fucking crazy like Capablanca, Morphy, Fisher and a long list of genius.
