Hi noname. Olive oil is included in this presentation as a seed or vegetable oil. And olive oil contains omega6, which is treated here as a poison. No mention of onega3-6 ratio. This presentation is very bad science. I'm a retired researcher myself. Stick with your olive oil. The omega 3 in it is great for general health. I love the mediterranean diet and try to stick with its general concepts in my (vegetarian) lifestyle. Seed oils also have omega 3 in them, not just omega 6

🙂 When the veg oil I was using smelled like my father's machine oil in the garage. I searched the internet and found these guys. It took about 4 months to lose 40 lbs and all inflammation to leave. Then after 2 years of diligently getting rid of all veg oils i physically felt my body change at first I didn't know what happened then I realized it's been a little over 2 years being off veg oil. Which surprisingly was confirmed in this vid. My journey started when I used to work out hard at the gym faithfully and didn't make much progress, that's when I realized it must be the food im eating. That lead me to diet education eventually to the poison they call vegetable oil. I thank both of you for informing us of all the lies that have been told. We live in scary times when huge Corps can lie and not have any consequences. So I put my faith in Christ He's safe. Thanks again guys I have control of my health. I made the effort to read every label for vegetable oil after listening to a podcast about 12 months ago. One morning, after about two weeks of making sure I consumed no vegetable oil, I noticed that the horrible pain in my hip was not there. I'd spent thousands of dollars over about a 5 year period trying to treat my hip with everything from acupuncture to bowen therapy, chiro, physio, you name it I tried it. Drs couldn't work out what had me limping, crippled in pain, at one stage even considering it might be cancer. Well, the next day and all following days I HAVE NO PAIN!! If I accidentally consume seed/vegetable oil my hip plays up within a few hours. I also have a gluten intolerance so i was susceptible to having stomach complaints even though I ate no gluten. Now, seed oil free, my digestive system is fantastic. The best thing I have ever done for my health is be vigilant about never eating seed oils!

Two things most certainly made things go from bad to Horrific, STATINS & Shingles. I had The worst case of Shingles our hospital had ever seen. I'm trying to boost my immunity by taking Vitamin C and L-lysine. I stopped the statins 8 days after starting them, but one doctor said it could be permanent. I've had the injections several times, but it only helps a little. I have a lot of stomach issues too! We switched from veg. oil to olive oil around 2000, however, my hubby and daughter turn the heat up full blast in the pan to cook, setting off the smoke alarm occassionly! 🙄 I'll try your method and see if it helps me!! This is amazing Natalie. I had a very similar experience a couple of months ago. I stopped eating foods with seed oils (esp. tortilla chips-even though the corn used was organic) and about 2 weeks later my very severe lower back pain and stiffness pretty much disappeared!!! It was UNREAL. Also, the partial numbness and tingling in my lower legs and feet diminished greatly also AND my heart rate also diminished and I cut my BP med by 25%!!!! It really was amazing to see such a dramatic change. Here I thought I had spinal stenosis and was going to need a major back surgery...... the difference in my back pain and stiffness is phenomenol. Thank you for commenting, now this re-affirms my belief that giving up seed oils definitely have played a huge role in the reduction (actually almost elimination) of my lower back pain. I am a cow herd share owner in Ohio. It costs me about $11 per gallon of raw milk. It is worth every penny. After drinking raw milk for about 12 years, I will not go back to the pasteurized stuff in the grocery stores. We need more dairy cows to make getting raw milk affordable to the general population. My simple philosophy: eat what God gave us and what animals were meant to eat like cows eating grass without pesticides. “Grain fed” beef was all the rage growing up and it was all a big money making scam.

Yeah in the 70s my mom cooked with lard. We were all thin, these days both me and my brother are fat with diabetes and parents are dead (both parents, mom of heart failure). I'm newly diagnosed with diabetes, I've been eating crap food for the last 10 years due to severe and debilitaing dep, and not having a kitchen, I fully believe this is why I got diab. I used to eat extremely healthy when I was married, I'd cook all our food, I had a gourmet stove and beautiful kitchen, thanks to divorce I ended up losing everything. Building myself back up now on my own. I'm so glad I found this, I'm going to change all of it completely, and go back to basics and how I was raised and cut out all the label foods. I actually love and adore cooking, now I have an excuse to do all my own cooking and now I know how to take care of myself without killing myself unknowingly. I'm so thankful for this video.

since I watched this channel, I change to use Avocado oil for cooking and two tea spoon of EVOO every morning. I don't buy any beverages with sugar in convenient stores, and only drink green tea, coffee (no sugar) and lemon water. Thank you for Dr. Berg and his medical information.

Amazing, there is a lot of push back against lack of evidance of dangers of seed oils, its good to see real scientific correlation with seed oil use and climb in obesity.

I believe that, when I was growing up 1936 to now, we ate so much sugar ! The last 20 years we have stopped eating sugar ,not sure why. Haven’t had a candy bar in years, or soda!

I was 35 pounds overweight, I don't eat out, I hardly used seed oil, working , working out, I never lost a pound until I dropped the sugar, anything you eat has sugar. At the beginning of the pandemic l learned a lot from Dr Birg and some other Drs, I lost all that 35 extra pounds I was carrying on me for 35 years. I am healthier now, thank God. I Thank you Dr Birg . I thank other Drs also.

What we all really want is french fries without seed oil and with simple Heinz ketchup to go with our burger. Until then, I go to sports bars that have salmon and get a side of baked salmon instead of fries. Hack: The salmon dinner was $22, but as a side to my $15 burger, it was a $5 up charge. I also skip the bun and have no processed anything. Well, I'm sure there is some crap in there somewhere, but my way should be a big improvement.

Back in Eastern Europe my grandparents and my parents (town folk) always cooked using sunflower oil. In the countryside they used lard due to the fact that they had the conditions to keep pigs . I remember in the 70s that the oil in the bottle was a little blurry, it wasn't so refined like today. Until the 90s I hardly seen any obese people, also diabetes cases were rare. especially diabetes 2. Immediately after the collapse of the socialist regime in 1989 we started importing the "civilized" processed foods...chips, snacks, breakfast bars and cereals, processed meats and cheeses, high sugary drinks and beers, etc... and the result was disastrous. Obesity is everywhere now, including children. My point is that something else destroyed our health not that unrefined sunflower oil that was used in cooking for generations. I agree with you totally, just another point of view from another corner of the world.

Extra virgin olive oil is the only one to keep. It’s a cold pressed fruit juice, not processed. And the oil comes mainly from the flesh of the olive not the seed, but polyphenols yes. Just remember to preserve it from light air and heat, and consume it before it turns rancid

The problem with a lot of EVOO is it's frequently adulterated, cut with seed oils (the package won't say so either). best bet is getting EVOO from a single country of origin

@ Mike-Al Checked EVOO label in my cupboard. Date stamp includes two countries: Spain and Argentina. Question now is to believe label stating 100% olive oil or to toss disbelieving 100% claim. I’ll choose my 100% avocado oil dressing for now.

Living in Spain I don't face that problem, but indeed in the US, it's terrible. Olive oil fraud exists for a long time even if it's better now. The problem is that the US are not part of the IOC (International Olive Oil Concil) that provides stricts regulations and controls. In the US, the brand Graza seems to provide a good product from Spain at fair price.

The only part of this presentation I have trouble with is the sugar consumption being flat since 1922. I am 75 years old and there is a huge amount of processed sugar ladened foods that have entered the market place since my youth. Sugar laden beverages and breakfast products alone have markedly increased in availability and consumption.

NOT ME! I use a good quality oil plus Im now also using Grass Fed Ghee which can also be used for frying. Ive also got coconut oil for mainly oil pulling. My kitchen now has very little or less 'rubbish foods'! I have Himalayan salt but dont use it much. My salad dressing now consists of my own mixed the good olive oil & Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (w 'Mother'). Its my EVERYTIME salad dressing. It may sound boring but better Safe than Sorry plus I really enjoy it!
