I was dating this guy who's also a tad too feminine for my taste. He also got a lot of friends that are girls which is really not the kind of guy that would fit in my book. Oh well, as time passed I learned that his parents are working abroad and he and his younger siblings are left in the country. He basically turned into a mother hen fending over his siblings and managing the household. He had a lot of friends in general regardless of gender. He's the helpful kind of guy, always presenting himself to help so naturally he attracted a lot of friends who appreciated his concern. We're together for 2 years now. Worst date experience was when I dated someone who complimented themselves so much. I was like 16 at the time and everyone had someone so I wanted to fit in and ended up dating this guy from another school. I was super extra to prove that we were a couple even though I wasn’t attracted to him,but he went overboard saying things that weren’t true and when I confronted him, it was his “friends” who said it or it was a “joke” but after going out with him couple of times I met my later to be boyfriend through him. Here’s what happened we would get together and he would not give me the time of day he would go on and on about himself and how he’s such a great athlete and has perfect grades and how awesome his new job was 🤦‍♀️ what did I get myself into? His friend was very nice and we had lot in common and at some point we started hanging out without him and one time he even accused me of “cheating” because I was hanging out with his friend. Let me clear this up he hung out with his female friends without me all the time he went to parties without me but I was never the jealous type also I knew most of the time what he was up to. I ended things with him at a dance after he tried being someone he wasn’t he was trying so hard at the dance and it made so uncomfortable like this isn’t who I went out with but we ended it there and like few months later his friends started contacting me and we started dating but we kept it low key because well I didn’t want anyone in our business and I have matured since my last relationship.

Once i got to know this guy thru the net, he is really sweet. We were talking really well when he ask me out for Valentine (By then we only know each other for 3 days). So he mention about bringing a friend to avoid awkwardness. I really appreciate his gesture and brought my bestfriend while he bring his, the date went pretty well. So after the date, he ask me to be his girlfriend, i replied no as we only know each other for 3 days. He replied back with super long messages on how i was like other girls who go for looks, and how i'm so materialistic and being so unfair to him for not giving him chance etc. *facepalm* Yeap... i'm out.

We all had those dates that taught us a lesson, and set the bar for future romances. It sucks how you want to believe everyone is good natured and kind, but many aren't. Its not fair! Because it chews away at your faith in humanity as a whole, you may not think so but it does.
