I hate it when you understand how something works in a film but the people who worked on the movie don't so you are sitting there shouting at the tv "why did you just cock your gun?"
@tuckergoodin76842 жыл бұрын
Like when someone pumps a shotgun like 50 times for "dramatic effect" when in actuality they're just launching their shells and making the weapon next to useless? Yeah that's annoying.

As a proud plot hole person, the worst types of people to watch movies with are people who DON'T want to pause the movie at random times and discuss the plot holes/unrealistic aspects/predict the ending/say what they would do if they were in the movie... So I guess all these types just have to find each other to have a good time...or watch movies alone
@gumtoonistbeats78422 жыл бұрын

I try so hard not to spoil things, but sometimes when I’m watching something with one of my sisters, she’ll be able to tell what will happen based on changes in my breathing. 😐

The spoiler is my mother....She doesn't even realize she's spoiling stuff it's the worst. I got my wife into watching Boston Legal, and she wanted to watch an episode with us. She casually mentions THE VERY FINAL SCENE OF THE ENTIRE SERIES and doesn't even flinch...

I've been the victim of The Sleeper, often finding myself watching movies on my own anyway lol I'm the one who ends up so focused on watching something, I forget about a lot of things. Or I tend to like guessing what's going happen, only to always get it wrong.

The problem with getting some to watch star wars is you are tempted to show them in order 1,2,3,4,5,6 but that first movie drags on for so long before anything even slightly interesting happens.
@SerosJoker2 жыл бұрын
Why the hell would you show Star Wars to someone in that order on their first viewing?

@@Smollest_Jordie What about 7,8 9? lol I couldn't keep a straight face saying that.
@Julian-pw5mv2 жыл бұрын
@@SerosJoker because it is the chronological order and it makes palpatine being the villain a gradual transition when if you go 456123 thats already spoiled. Yes you lose the I am your father twist, but that is literally the single most famous reveal in any movie ever, everyone already knows. Watching it in that order, in my opinion also makes 456 better because you actually know some stuff about lines they say, like for example when they talk about the clone wars now you are like "hey i know what that is" instead of da fuq is that and then forgetting about it. Machete order is best order though. That way you still get to keep the i am your father twist, but without having amy real knowledge of who the emperor is making his rise more intresting.
@matthewtalbot-paine79772 жыл бұрын
@ambassador Yeah that's the only reason I would show them in that order. People who watch modern movies expect modern pacing and modern technology but you aren't going to get that from a 40 ish year old film

And then there's me, the Loredumper. I'll be watching LotR with you and then go on a two hour rant about how Aragorn is literally Arwen's cousin without even realizing that we missed the Charge of the Rohirrim, AKA the greatest moment in cinema ever.
