Alexandre Sarr has gone viral in the 2024 NBA Summer League for the wrong reasons. Is the Washington Wizards 2nd overall pick a Draft Bust already?

Remember last year when people called Wemby a bust because Kai Jones dunked on him. Or when everybody was shitting on Brandon Miller because he caused a lot of fouls. Can we stop setting 19 year olds up for failure and wait to see how they play in an actual game

I'm calling it now, Daron Holmes II, if he recovers from the Achilles injury, will be that Giannis type of player. Maybe not the same ceiling, he is not as big and a 22nd pick, but his work ethic is crazy, and the nuggets have a history of developing draft picks outside of the top 5, or even the first round entirely, into superstars. MPJ and Jamal Murray both play well above the 14th and 7th picks, and Jokic was famously the 41st pick, so Daron Holmes could be added to this list. If the injury lingers, however, it may not happen

Nobody ever mentions Detroit passed on Wade and Bosh also. Either one would have been nice on that 2003/2004 Pistons squad. Wade coming off the bench behind Billups and Rip, Bosh subbing in for the Wallace boys. Certainly Mello would have been behind Prince to start out too. Larry Brown didn’t like playing rookies anyways. That’s what makes Darko a bust… there were no less than 3 superstars available at the number 2 pick.

People just don’t understand the change of international play and rules vs. the NBA. Also the possible language barriers and team play styles Alex may be struggling with. Remember that this is an NBA rookie and he deserves the right to learn at all levels (physically, mentally, strategically). Also keep in mind that the Wizards are not a player development organization like the Spurs or Nuggets. So to the “fans”, have patience and don’t be so quick to label this great talent a bust.

Cavs could have taken anyone in the 2013 draft, but it doesnt matter who they were, they would have been traded for Kevin Love.

We shouldn't impugn and denigrate a youngster who has just entered the league. Granted, his performances were disappointing but it does not necessarily mean that Alexandre Sarr is shabby. Time will tell how things pan out.

Jaylen Brown is the reigning Finals MVP, just cuz he had an honest convo w/ his girl bout Bronny doesn't mean everyone needs to bring up his Summer League stats. Jaylen is 6'7 and the only question was his jumper, everyone agreed that if he got a jumper that Jaylen would be an all-star &he's surpassed all expectations. Last week people said Bronny couldn't shoot, couldn't play defense &had no feel for the game. Lets stop comparing a 6'1 guard that shouldn't be in the league to a 6'7 Finals MVP who went #3 in the draft

When people stop engaging with the Washington Wizards all together That's when they'll start taking their operation seriously instead of like G league team were there just happy to sell seats!

Alex Sarr is the worst player I have ever seen, he missed a WIDE OPEN layup and dunk, that right there gives me less hope than I would have to see Joe Biden put together a coherent thought

Actually with the crop of current and upcoming stars the league has, that’s disrespectful to them lol. If he decides to set hard screens and attempt layups, he would probably kill at a local gym though. Especially with that height.
