So I've actually had 2 bad teachers I had to deal with in my life, And it all revolves around my Schizophrenia. (both teachers are special needs teachers because I am Autistic) My middle school teacher was extremely strict, and would yell at me and my classmates for every mistake I made. (I was 11 at the time.) My Schizophrenia would make me behave very strangely, and of course, they always take notice. Their yelling would always make my Schizophrenia worsen, There was no way I could tell them without my Schizophrenia doing something horrible to me (which I wont mention here) and I had to deal with that my entire time in middle school. That wasn't even the worst that would happen to me. My high school teacher straight up abused me. She would always try to push me to do more than I was able. and I was eventually pushed into a state of spiraling depression. Whenever she would get frustrated with me, she would make me cry and put me in a "cool down room" where I would actually think about killing myself. Eventually it got so bad I tried to cut myself, one of my friends saved me, but when she saw me she moved my desk away from everyone else and called me a "danger" and a "threat to the class". I was stuck with her for an entire year, due to complications I don't know much about. I was eventually moved to a different class but I was so traumatized that as years passed I grew more and more suicidal. It eventually got so bad that I was basically ready for death, still waiting for the perfect opportunity. But with a lot of therapy I was able to calm down from that state. I'm still recovering from all this, but its hard. I just graduated not long ago so I am still recovering from everything that happened to me. If you've read this far I can tell you obviously care, and I thank you deeply because this experience was a huge part of my life that took (and is still taking) years to recover from.

Despite those struggles this is the most intelligently written comment on this video. For anyone still struggling with suicide, this is what I wrote when I decided to continue living: “They say it gets better. That there’s light at the end of the tunnel. But for some people it’s just not true. And, by their own hand, those tortured souls are no longer here to tell us so. Those people are at peace now, there’s solace in that. As for us, I believe there is hope that we can make it to better days. Or perhaps not. But there’s only one way to find out... keep going.”

There was a teacher at my middle school who was legitimitely insane. She gave detentions to inanimate objects. She gave detentions to an apple (for chipping her tooth), a computer (for not turning on), a pencil (for misspelling a word), and a cactus (for pricking her finger). She gave detentions to students for sneezing, dropping pencils, and coughing. I was assigned her as my teacher in 7th grade, and when I found out she was going to be my teacher, I told my parents that I wouldn't be going to school. My parents didn't believe these stories, until my Dad's assisstant who had had several kids in her class confirmed that these stories were true. My parents got me to change classes. I eventually found out that the only reason she was still teaching was because she had tenure.

This isn’t really a funny story: I have adhd medicine I need to take every day at a certain time. During gym, it was the time I needed to go. I told my teacher I have to go to the nurse for my medicine. She straight just said, “No.” I then told her that this was the time of day I needed to go and she said no. Since I kinda had to get my medicine, I walked out of class. The gym teacher noticed that I left and she called the security guard. He caught me in the hallway and sent me to the office. I explained to them what I was doing and they kept ignoring my issue. I ended up getting detention and got my medicine like an hour later. It was 3 years ago in 7th grade.

Random Reacts they didn’t do anything until another incident later. I left my backpack with MY KEYS in the locker room and that sane gym teacher didn’t let me in. I went to the principal and I had a bad reputation with him so he thought I was lying and sent me back to class. When i got dropped off from the bus, I had to wait outside in the cold for an hour. Note that this happened in early March in Indiana so it wasn’t snowing but it was cold. My bag also had my coat. My mom had to go to the school and talk to the principal. He actually felt really bad and apologized. I think the apology was sincere. The gym teacher didn’t really care, she never mentioned it.

STORY TIME: during this pandemic, we course went to online school, one of my teachers sent back work without any advice and just said: "fix it." This kinda made me stressed and sent back the work, seeing no error, THEN SHE SENT BACK ALMOST ALL MY WORK AND SAID FIX IT, NO ADVICE. my mom then emailed her and said what I was doing wrong then my teacher said I had an error in my work, so I kept trying and trying. I ended up getting a c- in returning my work in time because of her. What a Karen.

History teacher (female): would forget to go to class, would go to a store in the middle of the day to buy herself food, would give you an F if you weren't ready to write a test but would give it to you tomorrow anyway, and if you weren't ready she would give you another F and repeat ( she would basically give you 5 F's for the same thing ) English teacher (female): would forget stuff and blame it on the students. This isn't every story I have about my teachers but it would be too long to write and I am too lazy. And here is an unrelated story, there was a student in our class that could not locate our country on the map of our country... He also said that ww2 was fought for drinkable water...

My English teacher. She was sweet but didn't know how to teach English. She always made silly mistakes when speaking. She used to make tiktoks in the class. She would ignore when students asked any questions. And then act surprised when the students weren't able to understand. Surprisingly I was good in her class some how. But nobody in my class liked her. Like the book is saying something else and she is teaching something else 😂. The students understood better than her. Lol

I really hate it when a teacher is absent. We always have our classes together as if a thing called “Substitute Teacher” doesn’t exist. Then if there is, we always get the same subs which are pretty chill and nice. But the one rule was: if you’re acting out, you get sent straight to the office and suspended. So me and my friends sat on one side of the room and the bad kids sat on the other, and one by one they started to disappear. Basically by the end of class, it was like 13 people.

My middle school and highschool go to the same building, and the hands down worst teacher is the computers and tech/ middle school geography teacher. He gives the guys worse grades and never graded any of my work. He would delete your work when you weren't paying attention and he's actually the reason one of my friends dropped out. He's also kind of a meme around the school because for some reason you never see him around the school with anything but string cheese. Everyone hates him, but he kind of respects me because I "listen" to him in class. His class wasn't engaging or even remotely helping me learn. And one day I straight roasted him by asking him " hey, mr. ____, I'll give you my string cheese for extra credit." He didn't like that, and I was sent to the office for the rest of the hour, totally worth it though. (There's more, but it's enough to make a whole video on, so I won't waste your time)

Had a teacher that wouldn't let me into the classroom if I hadn't memorized the table of whatever number she decided on that spot. Then, after one period, I was allowed another chance, and if I failed again, I'd just be sitting outside the classroom waiting for the class to end, crying to myself, while people could (obviously) see me, and knew what teacher kicked me out.

1. It was not a joke. Even if it was, it’s not funny. Especially as a teacher that is constantly exposed to children of all races and nationalities. 2. Teachers shouldn’t make jokes like that, especially due to the points made above. If you think that that is okay, that is an issue. I don’t know wether or not you were raised like this, or the entire area where you were taught you that this was the norm, but it isn’t right.

My 7th grade science "teacher": Constantly, she would yell at a student for some little bs thing (Think dropping a pen), and they would, naturally, start defending themselves. Everyone else would _calmly_ defend him. What's her response? Let it go? Get back to teaching? _NO._ "He doesnt need a lawyer/jury." Which fuels the fire, leading to a half-argument. Also, a friend of mine had a piece of paper under his desk. Not his paper, tho. Teacher asks him to pick it up. Ok. He goes to pick it up. Teacher yells at him for it. Our 5th graders in our area came on a field trip at the end of the year. We wanted to see siblings/teachers. We do our little lab at tables off on sides of the class, finish, sit down, small talk, and glance out windows. She's like grading stuff or whatever. Most of us get finished and sit down to wait. When classes walk by we get a little louder, but not loud. Cue the screaming lecture. I KID YOU NOT, for 20 minutes, she gave us a screaming lecture about how we never paid attention and we weren't doing our work, and we were bullying her. We looked out the window. When we were done with our work. During state testing, I was doing math the class before. I'll admit, I was writing a bs basically novel to get out of science, but I get a pass and go to science. I quietly walk through the door to her and give her the pass. She's yelling about something, and adds, "Its not ok to be late. It disrupts the class." I made no sounds. Nobody cared. I care more about my test. She also said, and I quote. "Fire isn't hot."

This is a story I've been reluctant to share outside of my personal life just because of how hurtful it is, and it deals with *multiple* bad teachers, but the one teacher that stuck with me the most was my 2nd grade teacher. In second grade, during a test, someone kept drawing gruesome pictures of our teacher on earasers and putting them back in the bin. When the teacher found out about it, instead of coming up with a rational way of deciding who had done it, he went around asking people if they did it or not(yes or no). I already knew who had done it, it was a Muslim kid with a name that ment "peace" (ironic). He did it in order of our desk number, which I had the largest number, meaning that regardless of what answer I gave, he would punish me. At this point in my life, I had been relentlessly bullied by many people around me, so it was surprising to me that my teacher would act as he did then, yelling at me and sending me to the office in front of everyone. My parents were called, and they berated me for months because of it. I remember the following day, where for no reason at all, the principle called me to the office to harshly tell me how I was wrong when I wasn't even the one who messed with the erasers, and they even brought in the second grade teacher to give his little ted talk, lol. This is where he shines, he pulls the whole "I was hurt" act and they both yell at me over it. I was given severe punishment for that, and was also expelled from that school permanently in 5th grade. And to think it all started because this one teacher couldn't handle drawings on erasers...

@@brendan5260 I heard somewhere that public schooling was originally designed in the 60's to essentially turn people into obedient factory slaves. Though that might've ceased to be prevalent in today's public schooling, I can't help but think that part of that old system remains to remove individuality from learning, as in most cases, students can't choose which subjects they want to specialize in early on, leading to indecisiveness, and possibly causing depression because they can't find a real purpose in life.

Through the year I had her (9th grade, 10th grade level math) I had heard people say that she was a bad teacher. I didn't get why people thought that until later that year. At one point, we got to a unit that requires strong knowledge of complimentary angles. This was something that many people had done in the past, though a few didn't learn it in the past. I don't know exactly what she said, but it was along the lines of: "If you didn't learn this in middle school, it was in the curriculum and you were supposed to learn it" (in a very rude and condescending voice, of course) after that, I noticed more and more that she would almost never resolve issues kids had with their work. I'm very glad that I am somewhat good at math, otherwise I would have never gotten through that class. she still works there, to my knowledge. (I had her class only a couple years ago.) on a completely unrelated note, you mentioned that classes should have a better structure to them. My 10th grade math teacher did just that. instead of working on the lesson, she would tell us how to do the thing we need to do, do a few practice questions with the class (until the class felt comfortable to do it themselves), and then the class would split up and do more questions on their own, with the teacher making sure nobody is struggling. (usually about 5 questions) after you did the work, you had free time. The system worked really well, both for the people really good at math (me and my friend) who would finish the lesson fairly early, and the people who struggled in the subject. This teaching method should be adopted by everyone, if you ask me.

When I was in my freshman year I was constantly going to the doctor cause they found out that I had hearing loss and it was constantly decreasing so I needed hearing aids. And before I got them my science teacher would make fun of me for not being able to hear and the whole class would laugh along with him and he'd specifically leave me out of things cause of it. My 6th grade teacher also did this and when I wouldn't be able to hear her she thought it was a excuse but ya know after I got my hearing aids she was talking to my grandpa and I showed him them, her face was priceless when she saw them, still want my apology 😔

I simply told her that was for Xbox, She gave me the meanest face I ever saw in a human being, I pretty sure she wanted me to get in trouble

so one time in the third grade, we were in math class, and my teacher was writing notes on the board. I don't know what prompted this, but one of my friends who was seated across from me started imitating the way i was moving (hand movement, facial expression, etc.) I raised my hand and I said that ____ was copying me. She proceeded to yell at me, asking how that made any sense, since the class was copying her notes from the board. She then asked the entire class. "ANYBODY, RAISE YOUR HAND IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE!" And of course, no one raised their hand, in hindsight probably because they were scared. My teacher then came up to my desk and pushed it as hard as she could to the back of the class. I was very shook by what had happened, and very conveniently, we had "graded papers" that day, which on the cover listed your conduct for that week. I had received an N and I was devastated. My friend apologized to me after but i knew it wasn't really her fault, that teacher was just an old hag. also last year a teacher got a student suspended for like a week because it was all saints day, so he had a staff prop, and i think he was like swinging it around or something, and he didn't want to give it to her so she got the principal on him and called his dad. private school amirite

I had this African science teacher, which is important. She knew how to speak English somewhat but man every lesson the class would basically do what ever they wanted. Until one day I'm pretty sure she figured out we weren't doing anything. So whenever anyone would speak she would straight up give them a detention after school. Also we had these folders which we used to carry our book in for like physics, chemistry and biology and so we would stand them up on our tables to cover our books so she couldn't see if we were actually doing work or not until she figured that out... We were learning about energy at the time and throughout the entire lesson she would misspell energy as "enargy" she was so consistent at it that for the next year I second guessed myself on the spelling of energy. The class just completely bullied her throughout the year because of her accent. I'm not trying to be rude or anything but I just couldn't understand anything she was saying so for most of the lesson I would just sit there and do nothing. Throughout the whole year she would just say "you" to everyone because she didn't know any of our names. Also whenever she gave people detentions no one would go to them because we had a computer system that tracks who has detentions and because she didn't know our names she couldn't give us a detention. She could have just asked but she never did.

At my school we have behavior points which are basically demerits, but every time you get one it also comes with a 10 minute detention, every time, and you would get these for fuckimg everything, if you walk out of place in the one way system, detention, if you show up even a second late to class, a 30 minute detention, and I had a teacher who would abuse this so much to the point where half of her class wouldnt show up because the punishment wouldnt be as bad as not finishing every bit of your work

My Music teacher only liked girls and the top students. For example, whenever I made a mistake, or any other boy that isn’t the top student, my music teacher would give us a lecture of how garbage we are. While of a girl makes a mistake, he wouldn’t care. This all happened between grade 7-8. With 7 being the worst.
