One time somebody followed me into a busy parking lot in the middle of the day. They parked next to me and rolled down their window. I could've started screaming and running, but instead I rolled down my window and asked, "can I help you?" That was my first mistake... They promptly replied, "one of your brake lights is out. Sorry about that. Have a nice day." Then they drove off and I never saw them again. I know. Truly harrowing stuff.

Last week, I was at a gas station and a woman walked up to me and started saying something. Not sure what, because I instantly started screaming in her face to back off and leave me alone. She fell down backwards and dropped her coffee, which I am 99% SURE she was using to hide a weapon in the drink. I scrambled into my car hyperventilating and weeping, and she ran away back to her car as I locked the doors and covered my windows with my shirt and pants. I take her retreat as an admission of guilt, because NO WAY she was coming to talk to me like people do all day every day in every part of the world throughout all of human history. No, she was a devil woman, and now I need therapy 3 times a week to hopefully regain some sense of normalcy. What IS this world? How do women like this exist?

Bad people are looking for EASY targets that are scared enough to comply and make it easier to grab. Her reaction actually does work in real situations. They want a quiet, easy to grab victim. A loud victim draws attention, even if it is just people thinking she is being 'shameful' or embarrassing. The words aren't the important part it's the tone and voice. You want to make it clear quickly that they want a different target than you. Also, women disappear without a trace in parking lots in broad daylight all the time. People have a weird idea that broad daylight makes you safe. It doesn't. It is actually the best time to grab someone because our instinct is, oh, it's broad daylight. They'll definitely be seen. They won't if there is no fuss. A woman disappeared in a walmart parking lot, in the security video you can clearly see people walking in the parking lot, not a single one of them saw her, the guy, or where she disappeared when interviewed. She was just gone. They walked past a van talking, and then you never see them again in the video. The van wasn't the grab vehicle if you were curious. It was just a convienent out of camera sight place to disappear.

You heard it from her, men! She drops her wad of cash, you can legally keep it and spend it! Accidentally back into her car and want to be honest, let her know and make things right, well according to her, she would rather pay out of pocket for the damage. Also, for the record, women are not generally like this. I've been approached by shady men in parking lots before. Never once have I felt so paranoid as to react like this. If a guy really has bad intentions, we can pretty much tell right away. Some guy pulled up next to me and motioned for me to roll down my window. I rolled it down a reasonable amount, and he simply said, "You have a flat tire," which I did. He didn't hang around either. He just asked if I was able to call someone for help. I said I was, thanked him for letting me know, and he drove off. If I reacted stupidly like this woman did, I would have just driven away and ended up paying more money for even bigger damage.

People acting like PTSD related paranoia is unreasonable, when you literally can't control it, is absurd to me. Yeah, you may not be paranoid, but others who have been assaulted are. I don't act like this woman, I'm not confrontational, but I'm constantly looking over my shoulder and my stomach drops any time a man gets too close. I'm afraid of them and there's nothing I can do about that, as far as I know. So, I just avoid them, if at all possible.

Nothing. People who have had experiences and are unable to handle interacting with the opposite sex in a parking lot in broad daylight at a distance of 30 feet don't go out in places alone where this could happen. They stay home or go with a buddy or something. She was being ridiculous. You're several times more likely to be raped or assaulted or abducted by someone you know but I'm guessing fact based evidence doesn't cause her to scream like a loon when she sees her male friends.

That chick is scary. She reminds me of that girl at the gym who thought the guy was being creepy but she was working with free weights and he was clearly worried she might get hurt since it was obvious she didn't know what she was doing and didn't have a spotter. It seems like women like her are almost desperate that something happens to them and makes a big deal out of an ordinary interaction with another human being to feel like they can join in on trama talks or something. I personally don't understand it but I have seen a lot of it. I can't imagine how terrifying dating must be for a girl like that. Actually, I hear dating now is scary in general so I feel kinda bad for anyone trying to do it these days. I feel sorry for the men trying to date in this world. This woman PROMPTLY shouts back a big "FUCK YOU, I'M NOT INTERESTED" without breaking stride or even glancing at me. I'm sitting there kind of shocked as she's walking further away. JACKPOT!! You should consider that your reward for trying to do the right thing. 😂 Never in my life have I reacted like that to a man who was simply trying to get my attention. I've had to ask a stranger for help, information, and directions...so, I assume that anyone trying to get my attention by politely saying, "excuse me", is needing some sort of help from me. This new way of thinking, where women are told to assume that any man approaching them is a threat is so depressing. What a miserable way to live...to literally be afraid of half of the population. I'm not saying that there aren't dangerous men out there, but women like this seem to forget that there are also dangerous women out there as well. So, if you're going to be afraid of every man who comes within 10 ft of you, you might as well just be afraid of everyone...because any person could mean you harm.

5:45. Actually, men are more likely to be targetted and attacked in public, not women. It's a common trope that women are at higher risk, but way too many men get killed. I understand not wanting to be appraoched, but there is a reason why it is called "public". The public is there, so expect to get talked to. Be initially cautious sure, but don't just yell at people that are polite to you.

The only reason you should be scared of scaring a woman by just existing is in case she's so crazy she tries to stab you or something But you can probably overpower her if running doesn't work. So eh. Purely "morally" speaking, this guy did literally nothing wrong, she's a complete psycho, why on earth would you feel bad about someone completely unjustifiably treating YOU like a criminal and being a complete ass to YOU? You should be outraged about their childishness, not the other way around. More likely, in this situation, she was probably also being racist or something, since she suspiciously didn't relate any of the physical details of this guy.
