Things that the movie got wrong about the monsters: Rathalos is oversized, is way to slow, and is somehow weak to fire when it charges a fireball. Nerscylla living in a group, it is afraid of sun light for some reason, and it doesn't have the expandable jaws. It is also is way to small. Also they don't lay eggs inside of their prey, instead they make an egg sack like a spider would do. Black Diablos somehow didn't catch up to regular humans on FOOT. Diablos are known for their fast charges, yet this Diablos was to lazy to catch up.

But, we cannot hunt on the Literal middle of Ocean of the Sand Sea, where the Sands are much denser and would make you sink like quicksand, that's why we are riding on Land ships to travel.

Oh I met one on my first HR hunt in MH4U (the HR Congalala version with the comb) just yesterday! Me and my friend played like idiots and died two times and then suddenly that absolute unit comes charging into zone 2 while the Congalala is raging. Absolutely terrifying. We also went in with top LR armor since my friend was like "technically we should hunt a HR great jaggi for better armor but this is the true MH4U experience, let's go" and then it did half our hp in one hit. But hey, we got it in the end.

The scene of Milla's character not only keeping up with Tony's character in combat, but also one shotting him at one point makes me more upset than it seems to make everyone else. I know it's a small scene, but it lies at the root of making the entire world seem so mishandled by the movie (also the Nercs, but I'm not opening that can of worms). So you're telling me that a hunter who can: • Kill Gods • Survive jumping off of above-the-clouds mountains peaks without suffering even a point of damage • Kill Gods • Get only slightly oomf'd by being hit head on by a charging Diablos • _Kill Gods_ • Walk on/near lava and take only minor DoT • Output enough strength to slice Hermitaur shelling, which is at bare minimum compared to _steel_ and so on can get even the slightest bit damaged by a normal human with a blunt weapon? I know his character is supposed to be a more novice hunter, but even novice hunters are tasked with hunting and killing packs of tiger-sized raptors lead by a potentially T. rex sized leader (going off of Gen 3) with just a bone sword and some bravado. And the ones who can't do that are basically regarded as _losers._

For the desert part based on all my experiences with Black Diablos, they fucked up even in this movie. -For the most part the Diablos species are shown to be territorial of each other, so them acting in a group to attack the boat is odd. -Next they are shown to not really be in the deepest part of the desert as to my knowledge, there are no Cacti there, thus it has no reason to venture that far in, the only creatures that live that deep in the desert are typically Delex and the Morhans. -The Nerscylla themselves don't make sense because there is no prey for their babies to eat in this spot of the desert so this is pretty bad for the children being born, where in 4U the Nerscylla born could at least feed off of the Konchu, Crabs, and Genprey when first starting out. -Diablos would have no reason to guard the area its in much less make it its territory because there is no food for it, thus it would have left already, especially because it doesn't eat humans. The hiarious part is, the one monster I think that probably would have fit this roll better is one nobody except a few, including me likes, Nibelsnarf. Its a carnivoir, it does wander around areas include the deep desert, and it has an active source of food in the form of baby Nerscylla, a small group of Nibelsnarf would have worked fine.

The entire film shouldn't have the military Isekai. The film should've been about vengeance at first, but slowly becomes a movie about acceptance and trying to live in balance with nature. Tony Jaa's character was trying to hunt down the rathalos that killed his family and eventually gets picked up by the hunters guild also trying to track the big rathalos. This is already a great start up for the film since now we have a justifiable reason why they can go to multiple environments in the world. This also avoids having the film being in a bland desert 70% of the time. The film then should've had Tony Jaa's character get to know the other characters and slowly realize that they also went through tragedy in life. The difference being they've long since accepted what happened and realized that although they try and fight nature, they can't live without it. Nature can be cruel and beautiful and that's what the monster hunter world feels like to me, the movie should've emulated that. This would've given us the mature tone they were looking for, with some happy light hearted moments with the palicos. There's way more that I wanted to add that could've made the movie great (have the be music from the games) but I've already written too much.

The CGI in the movie is good... at least for the beginning parts that I've seen. But it is _lazy_ good CGI, where the monsters that could make loops around the Deserted Island before breakfast time starts suddenly have the agility of a malnourished snail. All of the large monsters have very limited and slowed movements compared to their game counterparts to make the animation seem more "believable" to more casual watchers. Like in the scene where Diablos charges the jeep, an in-game Diablos could have woken up, gone on a jog, taken a trip to the gym, and make it back with time to spare in the time it took for the movie Diablos to reach them. Those guys were playing in HR -3 Bottom Rank and still triple carted.

It’s apparent they were trying to copy Transformers, but they missed the true essence that made that movie good: the raunchy humor, the characters that just hated everybody, and like actually crazy fight scenes with the faces of the movie. As a normal person this movie is one of the worst I've ever witnessed. The writing is unbelievably pathetic, the logic is that of a eleventeen-year-old(😭), the actors (except for Tony Jaa) are trash, the plot is actually simple but executed with the iq level of milk, the dialogue is generic nonsense, and the editing is THE WORST I've ever seen in cinema (like LEGITIMATELY Legitimately). As a MH fan.... it's my most hated worst movie of all time

the 3 biggest glaring mistakes(besides the mystery man not wearing red and nerscylla not wearing a cape made of skin) is the ace cadet being part of the first fleet(which set sail likely before ace cadet was born) the sky corridor being in the new world and the sky corridor being anything more than a massive middle finger to mother nature(if the Artians had interdimensional travel they would have been able to escape white fatalis)

This movie is so bad even my father (someone who doesn't play this series, he just sometimes watch me play) pointed out stupidity of Rathalos in some scenes and even the fact that Switch Axe... Yes, he even recognized the weapon type. Cannot do this energy wave shit move did. I was rolling on the ground when he pointed it out. I mean, how worse this movie can be? XD Also. Why Ratholos of all monsters? I know it's an icon of the series, but there is a ton of other monsters that could be used as antagonist and be much more interesting to look at. "Look, it's a red wyvern. Cool right?"

I'm just posting this here too lol it's been a long time but i just want to say... The admiral's weapon was supposed to be a switch axe not greatsword😂 and that's what made it more awful coz for the duration of the whole movie, his switch axe didn't even morph once lol. It's constantly in axe mode. Also, the fact that the admiral slammed the ground with it that produced a wave of fire... Switch axe doesn't have that move lol. The only weapon i know that kind of do that is charge blade.

Honestly i actually really like the idea of using Rathalos' own fire against it. It makes sense that you could at least be able to pre-emptively ignite its fire breath while it's gathering powder/gas/whatever it spits in its mouth, and while i kinda doubt it'd chain-reaction the entire flame sac into oblivion unless you managed to ignite it while it was still gathering (i imagine it fills its mouth with flammable stuff and then a valve leading to the flame sac closes to allow it to safely ignite and spit, you'd have to ignite it while the valve was open to do anything major), it'd at least scupper that fireball and maybe disorient it. It's a nice idea, if nothing else. Also yeah the film just has way too much random fistfights and other shenanigans. At least Rathalos barreling about and trashing the military was fun to watch.
