Thierry's right to say he isn't in the business of making watches for people who won't buy them. The Cubitus isn't for new buyers of the brand, it's for current owners working their way up the ladder to a 5712 or whatever. They're well on their way to getting the pieces they want, & the Cubitus diluting the range makes their current Pateks worth more & their future Pateks harder for others to buy.

Great list Jason, definitely picked the 5 worst. The Kith, what a missed opportunity to get more folks into the brand, should have been sub 500, should have looked to the moonswatch (love or hate it its a roaring success) omega besides as waterproof as a sock it looks like it was designed at 3am in a nightclub, rolex n patek, just shows money doesn't buy taste and that boldr OMG, saying no more. I have a Boldr Venture Carbon Titanium field watch which I love, and it has gotten good reviews, but yeah that was a bone headed, frankly insensitive and stupid, PR move by them on the Radium Girls edition ... They've been quiet lately so hopefully they learned a harsh lesson.

I recently saw the cubitus in „flesh“ at a luxury watch dealership and i think it‘s far from ugly. It looks great imho. The only issue with the watch i have is that‘s its a lazy design, pressing the Nautilus in a square case. But i fully agree with the boldr subject. It‘s disgusting.

The green-dialed Cubitus looks fine IMO (if you like the aesthetic), the blue one in the middle however is objectively a truly terrible design though, dunno what they were thinking. That one is atrocious, regardless of price. Oh and a fighter jet pilot couldn't read that Omega either. Less than ideal too and I love Omega.

Exactly. Omega says that their water resistance ratings really mean what they say. So if your the watch one your wrist goes below 50m while on a regatta, you will die before the watch does.

Patek "Patek-ing" doesn't bother me one bit. I dont pretend to be wealthy or influential so they not a brand I would ever buy even if I was Elon levels of rich. That Omega looks like an homage of an Aliexpress homage of an Omega. The F1 was awesome. This KiFFFFFFFF not so much. Goldmember would love that Rolex. I had one Ooh I remember that radium girls one. Problem is that people who buy a 50K watch probably do not buy it just because it's reliable, accurate and nice looking. They want to impress other people. For a brand, being seen as extra elitist might attract some buyers but discourage many others. For many potential buyers, a luxury watch should signal "I made it in life", not "lol, poor people suck". Therefore, those elitist statements damage the brand image, and eventually also sales numbers.

Much crud and you could argue each watch could have a small following, albeit people without taste. But the Omega takes the crown with a dial that is incomprehensible.
