It's funny, I was dabbling in AI generated works and it's not brain dead, more like alchemy and programming, the issue is that it raises the bar for everything, and that can be both good and bad. We should allow for AI assisted projects and forgo AI created ones for creative works. To be honest, it was a pain to get my computer to generate what I wanted and required lots of fiddling, correction, and I had to reseat my RAM at one point because of the intensity of it (I was running locally and it just... died... reseat magically fixed it though) and I even made my own rescaler. Like when you have two authors going back and forth I think that's where AI excels and will be useful. I feel kind of alone in this opinion, since I've mainly seen it used in conjunction with many things I don't like by AI supporters, such as ignoring the issues with workplace competitiveness or dismissing the nature of creativity, but also ignored by AI opponents who focus more on the AI aspect of the issue and less on the real issues such as what constitutes a creative work and how we can make this new tool work with us, not against us, focusing more on a human centric perspective of creativity and authenticity. I've seen some art AI makes and it's incredible, I can't lie about that, and I can only hope people will figure out how to incorporate this to our benefit.

All work should be automated. All of it. Arts included, not just industrial and the like. Nobody should have to do anything as a job. Nobody should have to work just to earn a living, no matter what that work is. Then whatever you like to do, you do it because you like to. Not to earn a living. Like painting? Animating? Sculpting? Do it as a hobby for your own enjoyment, making what you want to make, not what someone hired you to make, and without being worried about sales. Meanwhile if someone else wants art they didn't make on their own, the can get it from the automated art systems, without having to rely on you, and without you relying on them for a paycheck.

The anti-AI haters out there would probably hate this channel for using EbSynth to draw most of the frames for you. Corridor Digital paid an artist to make many drawings for them, then they used those drawings as examples to synthesize frames of rotoscope animation. They went out of their way to appease haters, and they still got hated. Obviously, there are technical differences, but the practice is the same: using computer software to synthesize frames from provided examples rather than needing an artist to draw every frame manually by hand. The haters out there aren't versed enough in the technicalities to understand or explain how using EbSynth is different than using Stable Diffusion either. They don't care about how EbSynth or any type of machine learning system actually functions. Trying to court or address these people, trying to prove that you're not one of those "bad" AI fans, it's pointless. They'll see your style of animation and decide it's evil like all those other people using AI for animations. No matter how "ethical" you do it, if you're using computer software to make art easier/faster than others, haters gonna hate.
