The Jedi order in the Star Wars games is much more complex than in the movies. In the movies, all the Jedi are trained to be "Lawful Good" (to use a D&D analogy). And just like in D&D, one slip from "the path of righteousness" means you aren't a Jedi anymore. In the games, there are different **types** of Jedi. All of them are "good" but only some of them are "rules bound". There are types of Jedi who are "Neutral Good" and "Chaotic Good". Some people who have written about the downfall of the Jedi order have theorized that it was the philosophical move to the "Far Left" ideological spectrum is part of what led to their fall.

It be cool for a game to have say a high lvl goblin in a low lvl area, you could easily avoid him or fight for a difficult challenge, but if you avoided him, he comes back as a higher lvl even tougher challenge than before.

its much simpler than that, if you enjoy some swordfighting you might have noticed. Pressing swords against each other (here even without handles) = Very bad idea. One just steps in and pulls the sword back or over the others fingers, taking out the shoulder, or ear in the same swing. Its a laughingly bad trope. And to press blades against each other, for having a conversation. Hahaha
