When I was in the Air Force I work to Ophthalmology which is eye surgery and more complex eye problems that the optometrist doesn't want to handle. Any change in Vision has to be treated as an emergency. It's not get them in in a few hours it's get them in immediately. Just on this one thing alone the doctor could have called Child Protective Services. And at some point along the line one of the doctors had to question whether he should or not but probably saw the "good Mormon wife" in front of him and didn't call.

starting in 4th grade, my mom would only make me lunch once every week or two, and when i saw other kids getting notes from their moms and getting embarrassed, i asked my mom to do the same. on the rare occasion that my mom would make me lunch, she would give me notes in my lunchbox and i would keep them. they brought me an indescribable amount of joy well into middle school. sad. at the ripe old age of NINE years old i said "it's your job to feed me" and my mother responded with "it's my job to teach you how to be independent"

It's a terrible thing and the woman in this video is terrible, but going to CPS over that alone is going WAY too far. I hope you don't mean that example literally. I've personally seen lots of families get ripped apart because CPS got involved over something minor. They're not as reasonable as people seem to hope, and not every family with issues is better off being separated instead of fixed, but that's what CPS basically always does. Your standards for what would cause you to call CPS deeply concern me.

My parents were highly abusive, my mother actually told me "this is my home and we allow you to dwell here.' I spend 31 years fully under control, and didn't know that human rights existed till I took a security agent course. When I got out I said I'd never go back. When my stepfather passed mom ordered me to leave my job, sell my condo and go back to serving her. I would only be allowed to bring my clothes, to where I was told to give away my 2 10 month old kittens. I didn't, I went no contact with my entire family... its been 12 years and the best decision . PS the cats are now 2 beautiful older ladies. I did end up having my mother stalking me for 3 years.

Thank you so much for this video! My mom took my phone away when I was 15 for 2 whole weeks. This was for a good reason though. I was on it WAY too much, my grades started slipping, and I was no longer doing my chores. So she took it. She told me "I will not give your phone back until you straighten up." And so I did. And after I proved I myself responsible, she gave it back to me with open arms. Parenting and discipline is a very important part in parenting. But abuse is a different story. My mom, and most every parent, says "my house, my rules." Including mine. But mine actually shared every single room with me and my sister. There wasn't "my room" or "mom's room." Sure, we had our own bedrooms, but she granted us a house that was free to be shared. She was the most selfless person I have ever known, and probably will ever know. I have never been so thankful to have a mom like mine

I would like to say that my mom NEVER let me sleep on the cold floor. Not once. One time when I wet my bed at 5 years old in the middle of the night, she was too exhausted to change the sheets right away. But you know what? She stripped my bed and put the sheets in the washer. She carried me to her bedroom and let me sleep with her, and gave me fresh cleaned sheets first thing the next morning..

I heard about a TikTok with this mother telling how she came home and called for her daughter, but her daughter didn’t answer or come see her. She got pouty thinking her daughter was being moody until she got a phone call. It turned out her daughter wasn’t answering because she wasn’t home; the mother had forgotten she needed to pick her up from school. She painted it like, “Oh, isn’t this a hilarious story?” No, it really isn’t. I’m also guessing the daughter didn’t think it was funny when she heard that the mother didn’t know she wasn’t there, and that her response to her not coming to greet her like a Yorkshire terrier was to think she was being a little diva or something. I find myself getting more and more ticked off with people who mess something up due to lack of consideration for others, then try to laugh it off as, “Oh, isn’t that one of those funny things?” instead of admitting they messed up.

@pollysshore2539
@pollysshore2539 11 ай бұрын
Based on what I have been able to gather the abuse started or at least got much worse due to Ruby’s therapist/life coach friend, Jodi Hildebrandt. Jodi was the other person arrested in this case. Rubys son escaped Jodi’s house and ran to a neighbors, begging them to call 911. He was malnourished, starving, thirsty and had tape wrapped around his legs and arms. He was being held captive but managed to flee. This case echos several aspects of the Satanic Panic. Jodi lost her license to practice therapy a decade ago. She was working as a life coach and she has a history of grotesque malpractice. She is deeply unwell and conspiratorial. She worked to isolate Ruby from her family (siblings, etc), friends and then eventually her husband. She convinced Ruby that the kids were possessed or mind controlled by Satanists. Things continued to spiral out of control after Ruby met Jodi. Ruby’s husband went along with it for far too long but eventually ended up splitting with Ruby as it continued to get worse.

About the hospital: I'm 30, and have a strained relationship with my dad. I somehow tore a muscle in my sleep, woke up at 5am to excruciating pain. My husband couldn't take me to the hospital because our 1 and 3 yr olds were asleep. So I called my dad. He woke up, rushed out of his house, drove me to the ER and stayed with me for an hour, sitting in awkward silence. We might have an uncomfortable relationship but his there for me like a parent should be!! Even my abusive mother rushed me to a hospital 40 minutes away when I had bleeding with my first pregnancy and my car was in the shop. I almost lost my job because my daughter got the school to ring me to tell me she was upset because she got the sports carnival day mixed up and wore her sports uniform to school that day instead of her normal school uniform, she was crying and embarrassed to be wearing the wrong uniform. My boss told me I couldn’t leave to take my daughter her normal uniform to her, my boss told me she’d get over it. I know my daughter and I knew how upset she would have been being dressed differently from her school friends. I told my boss “tough, my daughter comes first, I’m going to take it to her and will work through my lunch break” and left. My daughter was in the officer waiting for me bawling her eyes out and the look of relief on her face was worth it. Thankfully I didn’t loose my job but my boss was angry at me, I told my boss that my children will always come first. That was 16 years ago, I am still with the Company (it will be 18 years this year) and I don’t regret my decision even if I had (which I thankfully didn’t) lost my job. As a mum I also made my children’s lunches every single day even in high school and every morning made sure they had their lunch boxes before we left the house, that’s my job as a parent!! EDIT: Also, unlike Ruby, I didn’t have the luxury of being a stay at home mum either, unfortunately my marriage had broken up so I was raising my children on my own and working full time, Ruby’s ONLY job was to raise her children and she couldn’t even do that, she is pure evil and so disgusting, I raised my children and worked as well and my children never, ever once missed a meal, not once, I also prepared all of their meals too unlike Ruby who was making her 5 year old responsible for making her own lunch - WTF!!!!

I'm going to share a story that proves that my parents are WAY better parents than Ruby and Kevin have ever been. I am almost 22 years old. And a few weeks ago, I asked my parents to give me a wake-up phone call so I could make sure I didn't miss my 8am final exam. And you know what? They DID. Even though I had an alarm set and can get myself out of bed, I still wanted the extra security in case for some reason I slept through my alarm, so I wouldn't automatically fail the class. My parents STILL made sure I was awake even though I am a full fledged grown-up, because I asked them to and they want me to be successful just as much as I want to be successful myself. Meanwhile, Ruby over here can't be bothered to make sure her FIVE YEAR OLD CHILD is awake to get to PRESCHOOL, because she apparently is expected to do it herself. Well, Ruby, I have some news for you. You decided to have six children. You have (or, HAD, seeing as it is now too late now that she is in jail) a responsibility to parent them.

@Binstabih I worked at a daycare when I was 19. I changed the toddlers every hour. It was hard work 15 toddlers every hour. Anyways, one toddler came in the same diaper I changed her into at 5pm! I was so mad. Disgusting, lazy parents. Her hair was never brushed. It wasn't just her. Other babies would have diaper rash. That only happens when they aren't changed regularly. LAZY useless parents.

Oh my god. The kid forgets his lunch ONE TIME and he is punished with starvation???? NOOOOO. You have to have reoccurring behaviour or do something really bad to get punished, and even then, an honest conversation about it asking why that behaviour is reoccurring and coming up with a solution is the way to go about it!! Here in the sane, normal world, if a NINE YEAR OLD CHILD forgets his lunch one day, it’s just a little mistake, and your job as a parent is to supply him with food somehow. This level of abuse is insane because it’s covered up as normal punishment.

Aside from the fact that she always used to tell me that I'm an "investment" to her and sh*t like "you live in this house because I allow you to, everything in this house is mine and I just let you use stuff" when I was literally a MINOR. 🙃 When I dared not to get all A's at school she would confiscate "my" phone and PC and forced me to study the whole school subjects in advance for the next year during summer. 🙃 I believe she's a narcissist. Now I have an 11 y.o. brother and she completely changed (I'm almost 30). Idk if she behaved like that with me because I'm a girl or what, but she did a complete 180 because I literally had a psychotic episode during which I tried to unalive myself. I'm in therapy now, of course. And because of her I kinda can't stand children and I don't feel anything that resembles a maternal instinct tbh. The most saddest thing is that... The kids would think that the behaviour of these "parents" is normal 😔

I want all these people in jail, this is sick. They shouldn’t be allowed to go hungry. The oldest son is going to get in trouble at school because she won’t give him his own flipping homework back and make his grades suffer. These parents should be banned from KZbin and should be put in jail and these kids should have a better life. It’s heartbreaking watching this, this lady has too much kids for someone who wants them to STARVE. 💔

This “mom” takes away the autonomy of the kids. That seems to be the root of a lot of the problems. I’ve slept on a beanbag, and I’ve slept on the floor as a kid. The reason that that was ok was that I wanted to do it, and always had access to my bed.

Right? I love couch nights, but I'm always allowed in my bed if I want it. It was my choice, and I'm not even allowed couch nights on the weekend. That's because my parents are not like these parents. They think if I have a bed, I should sleep in that bed. Not on the floor or a beanbag! And they're completely right. The vloggers are wrong. Things aren't often black and white, but this is. Weird vlogger mom wrong, normal non-vlogger parent right.

That she really said to the toddler that as a punishment he won’t get to eat is literally a crime. It’s your job to give your child everything that it needs to stay healthy and alive. They can take your children away from you. It’s not allowed to use that as a punishment. She is insane in the brain! She doesn’t deserve these kids.

And she has sisters who also exploit their children on a family channel, which means that at best they saw those kids be abused and did nothing, and at worst are doing similar things to their own. This situation didn't start now, it's been going on for years and imho all adults who were related to this need to be investigated and jailed.

@@marijohnson2839 I don't watch family channels, but I saw a video or a mention about one of their channels posting a "XXX's first time shaving her legs"… now tell me this isn't deliberately attracting pedos. And if you knowingly make your kids a target for monsters, you lose all moral standing with me. Oh, and btw there are a lot of options family members have that don't involve the authorities, you can show up to check on the kids under the pretext of missing your sister, you can do cookouts, you can ask for the kids to come play at your house for a few days, sure some of those actions can be seen as impolite, but your image isn't worth preserving at the price of children potentially suffering. You can even talk with the people at the church and get the kids involved in church activities, the kids were "emaciated" that doesn't happen in a day or two.

9:02 My mom told me that my social workers were gonna look thru my phone and so I gave her my passcode. When my social workers came I handed them my phone, told them what my mom said and they responded with “Oh no no no! That’s your phone and it’s your private stuff!” I GAVE MY GODDAMN MOM MY PASSCODE NOW SHE CAN LOOK THRU MY PHONE WHENEVER SHE WANTS.
