Cool! I went to watch them film Humbug at Semiahmoo Park. Met David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson there that day (on the grass field by the stage), and got David to sign my dirty old shoe. haha Just a couple minutes down the street, along Marine Drive towards the west, was where they filmed the first scene of the X-Files series where they drove along the beach. And a couple blocks away from the Ovaltine Cafe was where they filmed the Chinatown scenes for 3x19 "Hell Money" ... I was an extra in this episode. :)

X-Files was a show that I grew up with. I’m from the Lower Mainland, and seeing places I recognize in this series is awesome. I’ve also been in the apartment building that Scully ‘lived in’. Pretty cool. Thanks for your doc!

Definitely recommend it. Sometimes it feels a bit dated watching it in the beginning seasons but you can look past it. They have the “monsters of the week” kinda like Supernatural and then there’s the on going Alien government conspiracy storyline.

You guys did an excellent job on these locations. I'm here because I'm watching old Loverboy music videos from the 80's and the video This Could be the Night had the lead guitarist walk out of the Ovaltine Diner with a cup of Joe. Glad to see its still open and didn't know X Files has scenes all over Vancouver. Very Cool!

My fav episode is DPO, you should go to some filming locations for that, the Arcade at the start of the episode and maybe the Hospital at the end

go go to the vancouver's train yard and share with us the yard and the station and the little bridge that mulder jumped on the train and finally the train explosion place in porteau cove !! 3X09 and 3X10 my two favorit episodes!!

I enjoyed this video! Splicing footages from the series together with your own footage was very useful. I've been to the Ovaltine Cafe once before and I hope to go again. The people there as I recall were very nice. I hope to visit that pie shop too one day.

Cool video. the diner was really cool. pretty historic. I've only been to Canada once, when I was little. it's where I developed a fear of roller coasters/heights. I'd like to make it back to Canada someday, to get a better lasting impression.

Way to go guys on an outstanding video! This was really neat to see these filming locations. Humbug was one of my favorite episodes......i still have to watch your supernatural video....one of my favorite shows as well.....shame its the last season....I’m trying to think of my favorite x files episode...the incest one is ranked up there lol, then another where fox is reincarnated from civil war battle....so many good episodes. Great job guys!!

I enjoyed your video. And it was great that you guys included some other shows I also love to watch! Good show! I used to live out there when X-Files was being filmed Miss the old stomping grounds. Little advice, Wish you’d mention the location area (where you’re at in Vancouver / the location address of the filming location) i.e. - ‘We’re in East Vancouver at the 2400 Motel on Kingsway..’ or ‘We’re at the Ovaltine Diner in Downtown Vancouver, where … ‘. Otherwise, I’m loving the entertainment and look forward to more of it.

We used to do that but we decided to stop including addresses or exact locations to boost engagement for the videos. Lots of times viewers just fast forward to find addresses.

You should have gone to Britannia Beach Mine. It's were they filmed the iconic mine mill building from Erlenmeyer Flask. It's a very interesting place and still looks like in the series. Lot's of other films and series were filmed there as well and in the museum cafe they have autographs of all those shows.

A lot of lists put humbug in the worse section of episodes, I loved it. It’s defines the early x files being a sometimes serious, sometimes quirky show.

It’s in the top 5 for both of us for sure. The monster of the week, the quirky episodes are the meat of the show. Did you watch the spin off Lone Gunman show?

I haven’t finished the x files yet, I’m on the end of season six but when I finish I will watch the lone gunmen, then the 2008 x files movie, then season 10&11.

Don’t forget about the first movie from 1998. It takes place between season 5 and 6. Lone Gunman spinoff could be watched right before season 9.🤘

I work at the Super Valu in Poco now Fresh Mart they have filmed a episode of the X files there in the 90s & more Recently Dirk Gently Holistic Detective. Also was in When we Rise & they filmed the Hospital Scenes In RiverView
