The Yama-Ichi War was a feud mainly fought in the south-central Japanese region of Kansai, between the Yamaguchi-gumi and the Ichiwa-kai gangster syndicates in the 1980s.
Though its roots were in 1984, when the yakuza parent gang of the Yamaguchi-gumi was sectioned into two factions, the feud was at its most violent between January 1985 and February 1986.

The situation is very different. The central government in Japan has far more power than any central or south american government. Also, the military is far more loyal. If the violence would've spiraled out of control, the government would've declared martial law and have the military shoot Yakuza on sight. Or basically every Japanese person with Tatoos. And the Japanese people woould've been okay with that. Doing something that is a threat to the state in Japan would be completely suicidal, even for tha Yakuza.

That first part where you break your way in through the main door then fight your way up, is a lot harder in reality, layers and layers of enemy gang members and barricades, heavy doors, maze of stairs, officers to get through, it sounds like the games yes but imagine how difficult it would really be

The 3,000 from the report that number was given is a deceptive because those were only the "made" members of the Mafia in the US. "Made" men lead groups of others who would be considered as being in the Mafia, but in leadership positions and the total number of Mafia members and affiliates was/is much, much higher.

If you think the Yakuza dominating Japan's entertainment industry is interesting, what's even more interesting is the Chongryon (an organization with close ties to North Korea in Japan) once dominated the gambling/pachinko industry. They sponsored everything from credit unions to newspapers. What led to their downfall, was that the government realized they were helping fund the DPRK's nuclear program

Sort of. The Tojo Clan are based on the Sumiyoshi-kai. The Omi Alliance were based on the Yamaguchi Him. While they are sort of based on true events I wouldn't say it was a one to one correlation. But since they did say something about a Yakuza 0 Part 2. They could do this and they have the best character for it. Masaru Watase. Since he is the Omi's equivalent of Kitty.

This is like kindergarten level compared to mafia wars in Sicily, those had the same total numbers of casualties but in just one week
@FlaviusBelisarius-ck6uv
@FlaviusBelisarius-ck6uv 2 жыл бұрын
That’s the Sicilians for you. Say what you will about them, but very few cultures have stronger familial ties and a communal identity than those you’d find in Sicily way back when, which makes sense considering that Sicilian history is basically them being invaded over and over and over again. Phoenician and Carthaginian, Greek, Roman, Vandal and Ostrogoth, Byzantine Greek, Aghlabid, Kalbid, Norman, Aragonese, Spanish and so on. All had one thing in common, they tortured and oppressed the native Sicilians. Is it any wonder, with so many cruel and corrupt governments controlling them, that the Mafia sprung up to act as a secondary government of their own that still persists to this day. Revenge was a family obligation, so their vendettas could persist for centuries, perpetuating the cycle of vengeance. What’s even more astounding is just how many of these mafiosi were strongly religious. Devout Catholics, they wouldn’t even take the name of the lord in vain but in the hot blood of vendetta, they’d shotgun the pope himself for breaking Omertà. You could also compare the American Mafia, who were just a bunch of cowboys. The most famous mob war is probably the Prohibition-era Chicago Gang War that spanned from 1920 to 1931 and only killed 500 to 1300 people in total, but was fought with far more brutality and sadism than World War I (for starters, a gangster was thrown out of car while burning alive onto a busy public street in 1928). Also, the war wasn't just for the control of all illegal booze, the gangsters were fighting each other for control of the whole city, as the mayor at the time, Big Bill Thompson, was nothing more than a corrupt, insane puppet for Al Capone to control.

So the most famous Yakuza gang war ended due to a combination of police crackdowns and excessive financial strain and NOT due to Kiryu Kazuma ripping his shirt off and punching his way through a battalion of heavily armed men culminating in a one-on-one showdown with Final Boss. Well, that's anticlimactic.

Part of this video got me like: Negative Spike: *Readies his Dark Key Sword, and charges at the RVEG and SMTGR Forces, but to no avail. He was struck back by the RVEG and SMTGR Forces, by the face, resulting in a scar, resulting in his scarred face, resulting in his turn to the Unaligned, as he was built into his own robot form, complete with his Dark all-metal straw hat, and his Dark kama mask, which gives him a symbol of his own desire to race against the Erakiryusan Warriors, to hunt down the Main Characters: The Audirookie Gangsters Kids, Spike and his loyal friend, SeanyGames, whom he declared Boss Battle on them.* Add that to my list, as well.
