My favorite part of watching your videos, besides your wonderful completed project, is your showing your process. Changing your mind, trying out different items, moving them around, realizing you've made a mistake and using it to the advantage of the finished piece, thinking out loud, etc.. In this video, you rescued the pretty parts of a damaged fabric, and incorporated them into two brilliant mixed media works of art. That you took a lunch break to have a tantalizing home-cooked lunch with your husband and daughter at your mother-in-laws is sending me to kitchen for my supper - a fresh farmer's market veggie salad with crispy bacon. Stay safe. Hugs from Alice in COVID-19-ever-increasing-numbers, hot and stormy South Carolina, US.

Hi Rachel, I had to comment on the one or two people having issues with hearing your videos, I made the mistake of commenting on one channel that she was really hard to hear, then shortly after i went for a hearing test to learn that I had a hearing loss and needed hearing aids, Thankfully I was not the only one to comment on her being hard to hear but I did feel bad about complaining . Sounds like you have a lovely day planned, Love the piece of fabric at the beginning. I am starting to use your line I am just auditioning everything , it truly take me forever to make up my mind, too many great ideas on what could work. The envelope was gorgeous and inspiring, Thanks for sharing some of the beautiful country side you live in wish I could come for a visit, Luch sounded so yummy Well I am off to bed Take Care keep smiling Hugs and Smiles So glad to hear you did not get whacked.

It's just mean that you talk about homemade pasta for lunch -- I had bite size shredded wheat, with no milk !! Juz' sayin' !! Ha. This project is wonderful -- But, you wouldn't believe what happened? I made your rope basket, and it actually worked !! I was shocked !! Your instructions are perfect; everything you said was correct -- the only thing I did different, because I have old hands which aren't flexible as they used to be, I ran a thin line of tacky glue down the length of the rope so I wouldn't have to continue to hold it in place -- you were also right that it took a lot of rope -- and it's just adorable !! The downside, my kid saw it and immediately said: can you make me one? Sure, I replied, in my sing-songy happy mommy voice, as long as you wrap the fabric around the rope !!!! But we have the perfect fabric, when he was a kid, he loved dragons, and I bought him this navy cotton dragon shirt he loved, and it was in the attic, and I just washed it to move, and so we agreed to make it out of that; it has the colors and he wants to turn the face of the dragon into an applique' on the side -- kids !!! Thanks so much, Rachael -- also, did you try amazon IT for the painters' paper? I buy mine from Amazon; here's the link of the last batch I bought -- I call it painters' paper, too, but they call it masking paper www.amazon.com/3M-Hand-Masker-Premium-Quality-Masking/dp/B0041NP8WC/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=green+painters+paper&qid=1592777260&sr=8-1

I'm so pleased it worked out for you. Hahaha now you have to make another one, lol! Wrapping the rope is the worst part of it! I did try the Italian Amazon for the paper but I did wirte it in English. I'll try to copy and paste the actual name from your link and see what happens. Thank you so much!
