Lovely vlog Karen, thank you! My Haven is my apartment! I love being in every room of my apartment. My bedroom and my living room is where I love to spend the most time. Greetings Karen, it’s been a while haven’t watch your channel. You look great like always. My elderly mother is now living with us now and it’s been difficult this last few months. Its hard being a caretaker to a parent. I salute all the daughters that have a parent living with them. Kids are absolutely so much fun at that age. Karen...you would've absolutely been in stitches if you had seen my 2 almost 3 year old in Ulta the other day!!!! She's obsessed with makeup and looked like the lady from The Office by aisle 3🙈🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣 I could NOT keep her out of the testers🙈🙈🙈 mom fail but I'm sure I'm not the first to experience Ulta in that capacity. She also locked me in the bathroom tonight so there's that🤣🤣

Morning Karen - another terrific vlog. Definitely place the other sconce near the light switch, move the lamp over a bit and if the light switch still bothers you paint it the colour of the wall, you’ll never notice it! It would look so beautiful and they would really pop symmetrically on either side of fireplace. My haven - our backyard pool! Our summers are short in Ontario, Canada, so lounging by the pool is such a joy! 🙋🏼‍♀️🇨🇦🥰

I always enjoy watching your vlogs. My peaceful haven is sitting in my 4 seasons sunroom. I have all glass and they come with screens if I choose to open the window. We have heat/AC so I can enjoy all year long. I even put out my Christmas tree in the sunroom during the holidays. Off the sunroom I have a patio very similar to yours. Hi Karen! I am so happy to see that you picked up the Nivea Lotion. It was me who recommended it! In addition to the lotion giving a beautiful glow, my skin has never been softer or smoother.. I hope you love it! My haven is being by the beach! The sound of the water and the waves brings me such joy and peace. It is so therapeutic. I live outside of Tampa, Florida. Last year my husband and I bought a property close to the beach. I can’t wait to get back there, most likely Memorial Weekend. My boys will be finishing school by then. My guest bedroom/office is another space I love to be in that gives me joy. It is my own space that I am decorating and gives me vey peaceful vibes. I have my beautiful diffuser in there and big windows with a lot of light. I workout in there; I meditate; I read; I journal; I reflect.. Thanks for always being a source of joy. It is so uplifting! The yard looks great! My haven is also the yard and garden. I think you can still fit the second sconce on the other side of the fireplace. I wouldn’t worry about weather it interferes with the switch. I think it would make a really grand presence!💕

Hay Karen! You look so good! Your backyard is gorgeous! My haven is our backyard too! Had a huge pergola built last summer…our patio and backyard has French doors from our four season sunroom…so that is my space! Very zen…full of houseplants and outdoor plants…getting flowers this weekend. Bought four huge pots and will be planting flowers. My allergies are so bad too! I had sinus surgery two yrs ago to hopefully stop ear infections from the allergies but no…been on Xyzal for a couple of years at bedtime…like u I’m in another planet from meds but the Xyzal doesn’t seem to bother me. Very relaxing vlog as usual I enjoyed! Love u❤️

Loved your vlog, Karen! Oh my gosh, the bird story you told, that happened to us as well! The bird was finally able to get out of our house. On a separate occasion, a sweet hummingbird got caught in our garage. It took time, but my husband was able to get him out. Birds must be so afraid at times like those 😬😥 The salads you made looked so yummy 😋! Our pollen is so bad here right now, our porches are just covered in pollen, I used the cordless leaf blower on them just a few days ago. 😝 Have a great weekend 😀 💖

Your garden and recipes all look wonderful. I wish my backyard faced trees like yours. Thats my kind of view. Also I would definitely put the other sconce on the other side. Some people say taking local bee pollen helps allergies . Maybe that’s an option . Allergies are awful and make you feel miserable . Those carrots look good .

I love this Karen! I love your patio so much - I was in KY with my Mom and it was actually a bit too cool on several days to try and sit outside, but we did get some time in when it warmed up a bit. so glad you got together in Fla. Ive never been. i have bad allergies to many things, even cats. i love ferns. i started again on intermittent fasting on 15th, carb cycling too. i just have to cut back more on low cab days. i lost 3lbs. a lady tried to get me to do beach body coach. i didnt. overweight &have to be careful working out due to past injuries. i wish i could. I need to color touch up my hair, maybe next month. i want to roast some carrots too. years ago, a woodpecker got in our place & was hanging on the wall. scary. protein bites look good. the grandbabies are so cute.

My haven is our back deck. However, I was reading out there and heard a sound. I looked behind me, and there was a raccoon. It just stared at me. So weird. I yelled and it didn’t leave. I threw ice cubes at it, and it didn’t leave. I mean it was like less then three feet behind me. Finally, I used a leaf blower, and do it left.

Your patio is gorgeous! Are you ever bothered by those who steal from porches, or vandals that destroy property? Also what do you do with your furniture, cushions, pillows, etc, when bad weather comes? Even in a really good neighborhood, I'd be very worried to have so much nice things out in the open like that.

Hi Verla, we do cover our furniture and cushions nightly. I guess we just hope and pray people wouldn't steal our stuff!

I know you are on a strict regime, but local honey from a beekeeper is great for allergies. I need Flonase every day and also Zyrtec. xo (P.S. been missing Beverly and Julie. Being outside in nature year round restores me. Like you pollen allergy has hit me like a ton of bricks this year, covid tested negative twice because there is symptom overlap and I have a 9 month old grandson. Trees leaf out, pollen be gone!

you know sage, basil, parsley, and oregano are perennials right??? mine always go dormant but when its gets spring i water them and they flourish..I have over 50 pots of flowers ...plus my 3 gardens.... i am an avid gardener lol....however it's too hot to be outside yesterday it was 104..do you take the non drowsy meds??.....how often do you weigh? have you lost any more pounds? take care!! great recipe!!
