People in my country complain that this album sounds too much similar to folklore, evermore, and Midnights, and beg Taylor to release some pop bangers like 1989 and Lover again (or, in fact, they want Taylor to release songs like Blank Space, Style, and Cruel Summer again, if they being honest). But in my opinion, TTPD is the album that focus on lyrics and story-telling, which, in that matter, I say this is one of her best. And I see TTPD as a younger sister to Red, folklore, and evermore, in term of lyrics and context.

All these basic people complaining because they expect a boppy album pffft so empty, TTPD is absolutely pure lyrical brilliance it only gets better with every listen and you learn what each song is communicating she is incredible and she is an artist this album was obviously a cathartic exercise for her its so raw and real and vulnerable its some of her best work.

Also, they’re albums don’t just have strong first week sales they were able to sustain it and go diamond within the first year unlike someone😭 Difference: They album sold based on the quality, impact on album and artist. Taylor only sells bc her name, promotions and cult. Plus first week sales be so manipulated when you find out how they really work.

TTPD is lyrically great but sonically bland. For comparison of her other “lyrical” album, Folklore and Evermore has great lyrics and better sounding

Her biggest album? Hell no. I'm a Taylor Swift fan but this was a disappointment. It's like a wannabe folklore/evermore. Folklore has such an amazing storytelling and it's so spellbinding, and this one is lacking something.

Especially the anthology. But this is her biggest album yet garnering 243 million streams but it's not her best album. I think it's generally more cohesive than Lover but Lover have songs that are ok in its own unlike TTPD. This album is a 6/10 for me. It met my low expectations.

as a mega swiftie, i liked a few songs but there was no big strong standout huge track like what cruel summer was for lover. i will give it something tho, the lyrics are what standout on the album.

I understand you gals but in my opinion, she had written so much that she has to release it regardless if it'll chart or not. But I love it. It didn't appeal to me especially the Jack tracks but I'm happy we are blessed of brand new material from her.
