Most of us talk endlessly about our hopes and dreams, and our desire to achieve our goals. Yet, day after day, month after month, we put our ambitions on hold. We fail to take steps toward our objectives. We procrastinate.

I’m terrible at sticking to my goals, I miss the part about them being “stepping stones”. I set goals that are ridiculous (at the time for me) and then I don’t reach them and then I feel like trash. This video is much appreciated 🙏🏾

No sis!!! Stick to your goals!!! “Stepping stones” are key. Once the big goal makes you feel like a failure you want to drop it. I give myself a timeline sometimes with each miniature goal (leading up to the large goal) to make sure I’m making progress in a timely fashion. It also allows me to check myself on what I’m doing right/wrong, so I can tweak my methods of working towards the goal. Stay encouraged!

In human resources we say be smart and think S-M-A-R-T when setting goals, whether professional or personal. Goals should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely. Patricia you touch on many of these in your video. Thanks for sharing your great tips. Continued blessings from the DMV (DC, MD, VA) metropolitan area.🙏🏽

Simply trying your best is enough! I needed to fully accept this in order to have a healthy relationship with goal setting. Your best won't be the same quality every time around. Some days you'll be outperforming yourself, other days you'll need to push yourself more. It's ok. We're constantly flowing through different vibrations, experiencing curve balls life throws at us. Don't be so hard on yourself. Just do your best 💖

I'm terrible at setting goals but after watching this I sat down, planned 5 longterm goals I've been thinking about, wrote down what I need to do for each one, set goals to reach for the end of the year, end of Sep and end of this week. Feeling all productive and adult!

One of the key things with goal setting is definetly focus. I think most people get excited and than get overwhelmed with all the goals and eventually procrastinate on their goals. Ps. Love that you read Atomic Habits! One of my now favorite books, which I made a video on as well.

Thanks again, this will be on repeat in the morning while setting intentions.

Another great video. I have a list of what I call "Focus Goals", why that name, just simply because those are what I'll he focusing on. They are big goals, such as finish my MSc, buying property, etc. The steps to getting there, I don't necessarily write down as goals. Like for instance to finish school I know I have to pass my classes, hence, I work hard to attain good grades. I am proud to say that I drafted these goals at the beginning of July and have ticked off two things. 👏👏👏 One of them I ticked off today 😋.... 🚗✔ I say all this to say draft your goals in a fashion that works best for you in achieving them. For some you have to write down every single step. For others just writing down the end goal is enough to keep the focus!!

Patricia I LOVE this video!! It touches on so many things I believe in too - especially the whole S.M.A.R.T. goals concept. A book I'm reading referenced that study about having one goal v many too, I think there's a sweet spot of 3 goals for me. I've got a system I set up to track these goals & I'm releasing as a YT vid on it next week, defo linking back to this video as the basis of why you should systematically track goal progress!! Lots of love and thanks for dropping these personal growth gems on us xxx

Happiness is just a mood. You can never just "be happy." This life is not meant for that. You can be grateful, and you can be content. Which will lead to a much more peaceful life. Because at the end of the day you could want to be a mother so bad.. then when you get blessed with that you will want something else to make you happy. You will always chase happiness.
