Weird fact: Around the 1960-1970 some spies would have cyanide pills in their glasses to not risk any information getting leaked from torture. The fact Austin is a spy, has glasses and he’s in that time period suggests those glasses are actually suicide glasses.

I really liked this movie when it premiered. It was so silly and over the top absurd, but charmingly so. Mike Myers is perfect in the role. Quincy Jones who just passed away wrote this and many others. Great movie. Rest In Musical Heaven Mr. Jones. 🎵

I remember about back in 1998, I believe me and a friend was walking past a video store and i caught the scene after this intro when Austin and Miss Kesington were driving. It was something about the scene that stopped me, it not only made me start laughing when he said YEAH BABY! That whole scene was genius as far as all that was going on from just a simple conversation between two friends, and Austin asking why wont she model for him. They don't make comedies like this anymore. I really hope Mike Myers and company do get another Austin Powers going. I will surely be in line for it.

Had the best time in the cinema watching APIMOM with my best mate back in ‘97. We were already laughing hard from the Doctor Evil opening, then properly belly laughing when Ausin’s feet come in with the music. Then when he stops and looks at the copper and then the copper starts dancing we just fell apart completely. Then Austin leading the band around the corner almost finished us off. Just the best time watching this movie 👍

The fact that there are no comedians left who are willing to act half as fucking Looney as this guy is just sad. That first walk up synced to the music is just wacky, and I haven't seen any movie where anyone has been down to just let loose and BE this way

People forget how popular Austin Power’s movies were in the early 2000’s. This, and the Scary Movie franchise were the kings of comedy back then. Atleast from like 1997-2003.

I remember riding my bike to the theatre to watch this at 16 years old. Met my friend there and we watched it together. One of the most hilarious films I'd ever seen, such fresh humor and I loved all the little gags making fun of the old Bond films. I had seen most of the Bond films because my grandparents had them all on betamax. I'd seen Mike Meyers before in the Wayne's World movie. But Austin Powers was groundbreaking and so damn funny.

I remember seeing this as a teen in the mid 90's with my friends. We had NO IDEA about anything from British pop culture of the 60's and 70's. We were like, we don't know what the hell this is, but it's frigging amazing. When he whips around and stares at the camera during the 5-second musical segues. We were crying with laughter.

Imagine a flash mob pulling this off on the streets of London...with perfect choreography and everything. That would be so friggin awesome . But I guess it would be tremendously difficult, especially in trying to obtain the permission to close of several busy streets for even a few minutes.
