14:42 They didn't skip over it, there's no anime adaptation for Danganronpa V3. You're thinking about Danganronpa 3, which has nothing to do with the 3rd game. Danganronpa 3 is about the students after the killing game in their sort of semi-RoD/semi-student forms (like how Hajime only has 1 red eye there instead of fully becoming Izuru). It was made before Danganronpa V3 came out. - ALSO note that even if they were planning on making adaptations for all the games, one for DR2 would ruin the meta. The whole idea of the ending is that they're in a game, none of the jokes would translate if it was animated, unfortunately.

I gave it a 9 because the last few episodes were setting up for something that never happened. The MC's story got a wonderfully crafted conclusion and it would've been enough, but they went out of their way to make us wonder who the old-looking dude really is and what he's planning, but yet did nothing with that thread it just started weaving. Clarification for your question on the Danganronpa anime going from "1" to "3" (for anyone that cares). I'm assuming you've never seen the Danganronpa 3 animation, which honestly is doing yourself a solid - they didn't even use any of the original voice actors for the cast. They never actually skipped adapting the second game, because Danganronpa 3 the animation was never an adaptation of the third game, Danganronpa V3. Danganronpa 3 was supposed to be a closer for the whole Junko Enoshima and the Ultimate Despair arc thing, and there are many videos out there talking about how terrible it was to end the arc that way. I went through a phase when I was in HS through being Joey's age where I became super elitist about everything I consumed. Like I took myself so seriously I only read classic literature, academic books and only watched art films and Criterion Collection. I looked back on my younger taste and cringed like he does in this video. So when I started watching anime in college I only watched the highest rated "normie" stuff. Now I'm a little older and I decided to lighten up. I realized I was keeping myself from things I may enjoy because I didn't want to seem like I had an immature (trash) taste. I still like to put my monocle on and watch masterpieces sure but I also embraced having mindless fun. So I can enjoy things that are ecchi, "edgy", cliche or mediocre. Not everything you like has to be the greatest thing ever made. Not taking myself so seriously honestly made consuming pretty much all media more fun for me. On an unrelated note, we need to talk about scoring and comparing shows. Some people have criticized Joey giving X show an 8 while giving another a 6. But it's important to understand you score relative to other shows that are actually similiar. Like you don't score High School DxD relative to Full Metal Alchemist, you score it relative to Maken-Ki. You score FMA relative to shows like My Hero Academia (or vice versa most likely).
