English style wheel for wool or if it had its distant, for flax. Square wheel based on Dutch corner wheel.

That “child’s washing machine” is actually a popcorn maker! I have my dad’s.
@TheAntiqueNomad14 сағат бұрын
You are right! I'm glad you mentioned it during the chat. I missed the rod that swirls the popcorn around...funny thing is, until you said it, I never realized how similar the shapes are between the two!

Good evening, George. Loved the Steven Parrish print. That Fenton _Thistle_ pattern bowl would've come home with me. I'm really drawn to anything with a thistle pattern on it. Those keys, in the showcase, would've kept me busy for some time. I'd like to have those steel traps that were in the tool case. I really liked the brass mortar and pestle. The jack-in-the-pulpit cup and saucer was pretty. Loved the gilded picture frame that was next to the mount picture. I actually liked that lamp with the elf as the base. It reminded me of Alexander Backer pieces. Like you, I much prefer to see old metal toys in played-with condition than restored. That spooner was super-nice. That old reed organ was beautiful. Lots of interesting and cool items there. Thanks for taking us along! Have a Very Merry Christmas, and a Wonderful and Prosperous New Year!

I was so intrigued, did not know about Steven Parrish! You and Critter Girl share the love for the Thistle patterns, I like them too due to my little touch of Scots blood. Steel traps are something we see a lot in Washington, actually, it was the frontier not so long ago. The elf lamp did look a lot like Backer, I didn't see a mark but it may have been anyway. Over-restored toys look fake to me, even if I know they're real! The spooner was so pretty, watching it again I realize how much I love that blue tone. Definitely one of the prettier pump organs I've seen. Merry Christmas to you too!

There are button covers being advertised on social media sites, from China I think. They are little round button covers that clip on.

Gloucester = glaw-ster. (glow (as in ouch) ster marks you as an outsider) A local thift has a child's sewing machine with a cloth cord. NFS...darnitt. It has the original box and all, but they don't sell things with cords. That's the excuse anyway.

I have the 1973 Shirley Temple doll still and that is not the 1973 dress. The 1973 Shirley Temple doll dress the red polka dots were about, close to a quarter inch across and they were made of velvet flocking on the skirt and dress.
