Thinness can be nice in a phone, but it doesn’t really help if it’s too big to fit in pockets or hold securely or use. I want a one-hand phone - the 12 & 13 Mini were close, but still too big for true 1-handed use. And a thinner Apple Watch would be awesome! But the smaller size is already at about the comfortable limit for my wrist. I _really_ hope the new larger screen sizes come from reducing the bezels, not increasing the overall size. I want something for everyday all-day wear, not something so large that I find myself taking it off whenever I don’t absolutely need it.

It’s good to see Apple making changes to the upcoming iPhone 17 series. A slimmer design doesn’t mean a shorter battery life. Apple innovates, and we can be optimistic about these changes coming to the iPhone 17 lineup. iPhones are great products from Apple, although their accessories have limited battery life. I have the Watch Ultra 2, and its battery life is still similar to the regular Watch series. The Watch Ultra lasts only for 3 days, compared to my Huawei watch, which lasts for 7 days and really lasts for 13-14 days on standby. It is priced at less than 50% of the Apple Watch Ultra. The Apple Watch series and other accessories are poor in terms of battery life, which is unfortunate. I hope that Apple will take notice of their accessories' battery life. However, I know that this desire of mine won’t reach Apple, so I am not expecting a miracle for Apple to take notice of their accessories. I am sticking to my Apple product line but remain pessimistic about their accessories.

I'm a fan of Apple going back to their old 3-tier product categories: the cheapest base offering doesn't have anything special in terms of features, performance or thin/lightness, the more-expensive Air offering is as thin and light as possible with a few upgraded features, and the most-expensive Pro offering has all the features and all the battery, no thin/lightness.

I'm beta testing iOS 18. the text messaging + RCS is a bit of a pain. the iOS can't tell the difference between an iPhone using iMessaging and an Android. So when you go to send another iPhone user a text, it sends it as SMS/RCS rather than iMessage. Then when you try to send attachments, they fail to go through, so you have to resend as sms. Hopefully this will get resolved in other releases. I've tried the mirroring between my mac mini and my iPhone. It "works" but if you try to use the text message feature, the mirroring doesn't detect your spacebar so it's all one giant word. Again, it's the 1st edition of the beta, so hopefully that gets worked out as well. Lots of messaging features and some other cool things that will completely change the way you interact with your iPhones. If you have a Mac of any kind and you're running the Sequoia beta, you can unlock your mac with you apple watch, instead of typing your password.

I’m sure with advances in metals and batteries Apple wouldn’t make a thinner device if it compromised structural integrity or battery life. I’m a big guy, certainly not an average size person, so having smaller devices sucks for me with Shrek thumbs. I’m sure with large markets like Asia smaller phones will sell well. My biggest concern is iTunes because I have songs in AAC, protected, purchased and all converted to MP3 and when I make playlists of just the MP3’s it won’t let some of the songs play. I’ve made copies of DVD’s but iTunes can’t play VOB files. Even though I share my library on my network I can’t pull up my playlists under the Music icon on Apple TV. The Computer icon doesn’t work anymore. I have over 1,800 movies and over 80 TV series but I can’t make playlists of those unless I download them from the Store and I need a Synology server to store that much data. Why can’t TV series still in the Store play the next episode automatically like Netflix or Hulu? iTunes needs a lot of improvements!

Hopefully apple will offer the iPhone jumbo, that has a SE sized display, but dual USB-c 4, and battery life that exceeds that of the slim iPhone max. 😂 So you need an iphone with the new "low" price version? hahaha. Typical Apple. You can't seem to be able to own just one device. You need an iphone/pad or mac for basic setup. I really tried to migrate to M1 when that came around. I just couldn't do it. Spending time in the Apple ecosystem just pissed me off because of all the obstacles they put in your way. If I needed for example a computer to do video edit only on - I might consider it, but there is a long way to go for Apple to get me to use them as main platform. Apple is lock-in lock-in lock-in. And because of that I will never be happy with it. When you need a whole bunch of devices just to be part of that ecosystem - that's when it provokes me back to Windows for computer platform. The windows that every mac fanboi claims ruins ever day with updates and other problems

When it comes to battery life Apple fans sure set the bar pretty low, like a high jump competition with the bar set low enough for a belly dancing contest. When Apple makes anything "budget" price, expect shitty battery life. The problem is of course that Samsung (and the rest) copycat Apple, hence a day is the industry standard for phones. Apple makes a less expensive model of anything and battery life is the first thing to go out the window along with inevitable - and understandably so - missing features. But there is a silver lining with the phones. Remember the 1st gen iPhone SE? You can get a battery case with a 7 Ah battery to get worthwhile battery life instead of relying on the paltry 1.8 Ah battery. And do we REALLY need an always-on display like the iPhone 14? Since this first cropped up on Android, who at Google thought this was a good idea, since the biggest consumer complaint is shitty battery life?

Well Apple made my ID inactive and will not tell me why. They send you a legal document that does not tell you why you were made inactive. Now that my ID is inactive what happens. Well all the movies and music I purchased are gone, all apps and programs bought are gone, every thing in iCloud is no longer available, all apps I wrote in the app store are still there but you do not get paid. I can not remove the apps as my ID is inactive. I now do not recommend Apple. I have lost 10 years worth of work. Apple says no problem we will be happy to make you buy everything again and we love the free money from your hard work on your apps. Your text are blocked. I think Apple's goal with thinness/flatness is for the device to get out of the way as much as possible so that the user can focus on their content. Imagine holding a PDF or Photoshop file in your hand without the device. The user should forget that they are even using a device. While the Apple Vision Pro device is nowhere as thin as an iPhone or iPad, being able to "touch" your windows and other digital objects is an example of where we are headed.

Apple can work and work on developing the Apple Vision Pro 2. It still will resemble, an expensive Necromonger Lensor tracking device. Coming soon. The Apple Lensor Vision Pro2.

So, apple board, we need to make the vision pro cheaper. Any ideas? Well we could just reduce the apple fake inflated part from the final price from 90% to maybe only 60%? youre fired

It's always a good laugh to visit a Apple channel. Those Apple guys must live in a parallel universe. They are always shockt if I tell them that about only 20% of all smartphones is an iPhone.

These guys they still dont get it. Both Samsung and apple let alone all other manufacturers. I do not want a 4mm phone. Give me a 4days battery phone. And make the mofo 9mm thick. I dont care

People think Vision Pro should cost lower as an Iphone had 0 clue of how great and complex AR/VR headsets are. You guys a disgrace of the new techs industry 😂

What's with all the shonky unofficial mockup product videos + images all the way through this? Feels very low-quality.

The Vision Pro should have been a tethered device to an iPhone. It’s ridiculous to pay $3500 for goggles. The iPhone can easily be the base processing power to a headset.

Well... When you say imOS update features And claim it to be for "low low price of zero dollars" ... You know what a useless waste of money. walled garden OS it is ... That takes an entire night to charge vs merely minutes on the android side

not happening, thinner is not something apple will repeat - unless they have figured out how make it unbendable. Why would any company go backwards. so that rumour is a good april fool rumour...and it's not even april 1st lol

Regarding your question about whether I’d prefer a slimmer phone over a larger battery I can surely answer this with a clear Yes. I need to carry my iPhone the whole day, it’s a big advantage if it is a slim phone. There are quite a lot of options for charging the phone. No worries here about battery life 😉
