The idea of him saying he is a "sex change" is just not the Daniel John's I respected! The new version of him is like cher and Bob Dylan had a child and the result was this softcore pop version of rock and roll. Had silverchair had the publicity it deserved the band could of been way bigger in the u.s.a or the European market even. I know what I like and the new version of Daniel John's is revolting

Believe me. If you have to live the life of a professional musician like him you just want an out. Playing the same songs several times a week and every single person knowing who you are isn't exactly "the dream" as far as I'm concerned. Let people do incredible things and then let them live in peace.

Johns is a GENIUS, a VIRTUOSO, an evolving artist! I'm a hardcore Silverchair fan since the 90s and I knew right then and there that he was a freaking genius and still is. Music & lyrics... 👌🏼No doubt about it! At such a young age they managed to make good music. I remember I had this notebook with all their songs written (I even wrote who did the music and lyrics of what specific song) and was trying to really read the lyrics word by word and my god, what a brilliant mind he has (or them per se)! I truly believe you shouldn't define a person just because they want to try something new. That's effin' lame. If you think his new music is cringyAF, well you just simply didnt understand and appreciate him at all. There's nothing wrong if a person wants to evolve and I don't think change of musical style is a downgrade for Johns. His thoughts is just overwhelming that he wanted to express everything in music and it so happened in this era edm/pop is the style he chose to live... and I saw in one of his interview that his next goal is to do the Opera. Can't wait! And oh, remember the Qantas campaign that he composed? My god. He's one of a kind. So yeah, I'm still a fan.💯
