I like the stuff you have been doing.I always wanted to do what you are doing in the other videos like the landscape and this one. you make it easy. im not a newbie, but I struggle with doing stuff with the airbrush. I jointed a few weeks ago.

I truly enjoyed the airbrushing session. Very beautiful airbrushing. I purchased a Set of 5 Skin stencils Dru Blaire 159.00. I figured I would need them down the road. I’m hoping that that was a good investment. I didn’t want to purchase the complete Eye Stencils set. I don’t want everything Stenciled brother. Plus watching you do Eyes I truly love how you airbrush Eyes. I wanna learn different airbrushing techniques. Then purchase stencils which will make the job easier when I’m in a bind and the job needs to be finished kind of quickly. I will finish it up with this. I don’t want these comments to be too long. Because I can text you to death. I’m just so so excited watching you make me feel that way brother!!!🎣🎣🎣

Is it me, or is the Liquitex Heavy Gesso harder to work with? I used the regular gesso on a few panels to compare, and completed 8 layers. They came out great but it took a long time. Panels with heavy gesso can be prepared in 2 layers but I find it more difficult with which to work. It started to dry immediately. Will finish with regular gesso - thoughts?

Yeah, the super heavy can be a bit tricky because it shows everything. I switched over to the super heavy only because it's so much faster. It's especially nice for larger canvases- 2 coats to get it smooth! I think you have to use what you like best and in a method that is most enjoyable to you. That's most important.

I've been watching your videos for several weeks now and am really impressed. You remind me a great deal of Bob Rossi but with an airbrush. I have a question about paint that maybe you can help me with. My wife is recovering from back surgery as well as suffering from M.S. She used to draw/paint quite a bit when we first got married and she was very good. As her health slipped, so did her art. But I'm going to give her an airbrush/compressor for Christmas in an effort to get her moving again. My problem is I don't know what would be a good set of paints to give her. She likes still-life but had expressed interest in doing portraits/faces in the past. Any suggestions for a basic set under $100? Thanks!

Thank you for the kind words, Bill. I'm sorry to hear about your wife but I'll bet she will be back to health in no time. Surgery recovery takes time and painting is a great way to pass it. An airbrush and paints is a great gift to help her along. Just to clarify, do you mean a $100 set of paints or an airbrush/compressor? For erasable/scratch-able paints (like what i use on this channel) The Createx Illustration Colors Wheel 1oz set is the best. It's $64 for 17 paints which is a great price. For permanent (non erasable) go with a Golden High Flow Acrylics 1oz set. It's 10 bottles for under $50, and you can get opaque or transparent. These also work great with traditional brushes.

Thank you for demonstaring another triumph. Question please: Is it a camera angle issue or do you really hold the airbrush so non-perpendicular to the canavas?
@theartworkshop
@theartworkshop 2 жыл бұрын
great question! Yeah, I actually do hold my airbrush at that angle. The reason is that it helps me direct any overspray over to the left of my hand. Any way you hold an airbrush is fine though, just personal preference.

Not sure. This painting was a while ago so I really can't remember my reasoning. I think I was testing out a new color and reduction at the time.
