Ring with 10k and sterling is most probably 10 karats of stones all up on sterling Some people prefer silver and it stands to reason with that many stones they have put the total karats in stone on it… Great finds yet again Thanks so much Don you have taught me a lot over the years and I do tell my friends about you because I think they would benefit greatly from your work ❤ from Australia

Your are showing me that I need to rethink a lot of my sourcing. I was an electronic technician, so at an estate sale I bought about 10 pieces of electronic test equipment that should sell for about $100 each. HOWEVER, I need to test each piece. They are big. I need to pack them. I saw your record packing video. Even packing a record like you do, it is easy. Test equipment needs a big box and lots of protection. Bottom line: you are teaching me to look for smaller items.

So strange. I found the exact coral necklace and brooch like the one at 19:02 about three weeks ago at a tag sale. Had no idea if they were worth anything since there was no cell service at the location. I believe watching your videos has given me a much better eye, as well as some confidence in buying things outside my comfort zone. I hand picked these out of a large box of costume jewelry and paid almost nothing for them. It's true what you say, this stuff is out there to be found. As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.

Thank you for all of the great information. I am completely new to all of this. Just setting up ebay store, etc. My mom passed away last month and my brother wants to do an estate sale. I cringe at the thought. I am definitely going to insist on being allowed to take what I think I want to sell first. (That doesn't have too much sentimental value to sell.) I am watching so many videos to try to get as much knowledge as possible before I have to decide what I want to sell. Thank you again for all of the information. I would never have thought that paper goods and gold filled jewelry could be worth anything. And we had a lot of records growing up. I'll definitely have to do some research. We probably didn't have great taste but you never know. Love the videos. Thank you again!

Speaking of Gold Filled...I look for old glasses and spectacles, also. The rims are usually GF. I picked up a lot of old, some were broken, spectacles a few months back at a local estate sale for $5, sold the entire lot on ebay for $110. After removing the lenses, the lot weighed 48g and all rims were marked 1/10 12K.

I work at a scrapyard as an industrial burner, part-time and I can pocket a lot of small stuff to sell on eBay. Rolls of solder wire sell for 5-10 bucks a roll. I got a couple Nassau Solder 5-pound rolls. Looking up this I found it selling for a stupid-high price. Ends up it all goes to Japan! They are freaks for restoring Western Electric stuff and Nassau was their in-house recycling division back in the '50s up to '70s. These Japanese guys are so perfectionist-oriented they only use Nassau solder OF THE CORRECT YEAR AND MONTH for the item they are restoring!! All the rolls are dated! Just as I thought, the first roll I listed for $495.00 and it sold and went to Japan!!! The second one went to California to a Japanese surname person, and I can imagine he went home with it! It sold for about the same money!!!......................Estate sales have yielded up home-run items for selling on eBay. I'd say stay with what you know though. Things you'd think would never sell go with ease, and stuff you'd think would go great sometimes don't sell, at least not for a while. BUT everything does eventually sell!!!!
