Ladies: “Thinks marriage is a sham” Still: “Forms proposal ideas”
@farahedora74824 жыл бұрын
My husband didn’t even properly propose to me but we still got married and it has been 7yrs and still going strong. One day suddenly he said babe we need to get married to buy a house and I’m like sure why not then after that we start making plans to get married. It tickles me that ‘that conversation’ was the marriage proposal cos both of us were nonchalant about it but we knew we love each other and want to live w each other forever. It also depends on you & your partner character. We’re the type that don’t really like the extravaganza and we’re very private about ourselves so that works. We were living together before marriage and we know we’re serious about each other so might as well get married so we can enjoy the benefits. I’m telling my story so that people out there can know that there’s no fixed criteria on what to do when proposing. Like they said, listen to your partner but please also be realistic in your situation.

I was a month late and took a test. My partner and I talked about it and the decision was mine. I was not ready and took a pill for it. Though I think about the unborn child until today, I cannot imagine if I would have kept her/him especially since I grew up taking care of my younger siblings and cousins etc. even until today. Y’all so brave!

The problem here you guys here is you should get somebody that is been in a marriage for 5, 7 year. You need to hear from their perspective . Honestly after being married .I think its the most wonderful thing that ever happen to me being in love with somebody like a bestfriend to me for years and we never get bored with each other. They talk from a perspective of still wanted to have fun . dont want to tied down with one person. Well that was me in my teenagers day . Now im fully commited happy man and i very much love my wife.

Saff says she wants both a big ring, grand wedding and and claims if he cant afford both he gotta work on himself and be "financially stable" first? Isn't that so materialistic? Cause she goes on to say if cant afford both we are not meant to be together. So my honest qn is, she just wants someone who is rich first then also loves her? Roles reversed, if guys say i only will marry a girl who earns minium 10k/month and knows how to cook damn well, if not we are just meant to be together. Will it be fair?
@santhoshpandiaraj45894 жыл бұрын
but ofcourse its fine to be materialistic, i respect that, but i wish love had more value than money in marriage. That's all.
@CarynSaw4 жыл бұрын
i mean its her preference after all.. theres no need to be offended by it. Plus Im sure most people out there will want their partner / themselves to be financially stable before settling down. Why would u settle down if you / your partner cant afford to pay the bills and you have to suffer in debt for the rest of your life with that person?? It doesnt make sense 😅 and its too bad its so expensive in SG, almost everything revolves around money here. its just how it is 🤭 and you have to be smart about it 🤷🏻♀️
@berrysauce86924 жыл бұрын
Ya that’s fair. Everyone has their own requirements and wants. Just because it’s different from yours, doesn’t make it wrong. Just like a LV bag cost a few hundred or thousands and the buyers needs to have the capital to pay. There’s nothing wrong if some people can afford and some people can’t
@michaelquecera39714 жыл бұрын
You only get one life, so your life your choosing. Some people may prioritize growth and friendship in a marriage over financials, some opposite. Everyone has different expressions and views on love, its not fair to jump to assumptions on someone who seeks for a more financially stable partner. If youre talking about gold diggers, then thats a whole different topic, and i dont believe that theyre that many true gold diggers to begin with. To become a gold digger, one has to have very little empathy or sympathy, which makes them close to being socio/psychopaths which is a very small percentage of humanity.

I requested for a ring less than 1k (no need diamond). So we can more money for house/reno. Since my goal is to have 2 kids before 30. It doesn’t mean that the guy is useless or incapable because he can’t buy a 3 carat ring for me. It’s just that we didn’t have the money to buy so many things at 20+ years old.

Wow the more I watch this series of them talking about all these, the more I like Jade! I used to thought she's just a bimbo, pretty and just flaunt few pictures at ig, and so called good dj skills mainly just caz of her body. But wow, she have substance and she's getting more and more motherly I feel. Like a big sister that you would wanna hang out and could take good care of you.

i think the question is not about "do you want to get married?" the real question is "are you willing to sacrifice yourself in order to pass your genes down to your offspring n give them the optimal conditions to develop to their full potential?"
@gooddreams84954 жыл бұрын
girls have a lot of demand from guy when proposing, but let's say girls are expected to propose to guys, to show their love, can they come up with an idea that match the standard they have for guys proposing it to them? No, and they are not expected to, cause they are the one being chased, being pursued, the prize. Can they see their men as precious and valuable as they want to be seen by the guy?
@bigmattwheel4 жыл бұрын
I'm sure youve seen the kind of parties the girls plan. I'm sure they are able to plan the perfect proposal for their man.
@zzzzzz-wb6sj4 жыл бұрын
well, yes sure! i don’t see a problem here, really we’re all people and in the end I’m sure if one is ready to be with someone else that person will be willing to put in the effort. I only think it’s this way (guys proposing to girls) because of societal expectations that have been ingrained into us since decades ago. although now it’s mainly still this way, I feel like there have been more and girls proposing instead of guys :)

At 19, you are still on self discovery mode. Should go out and experience life, pursue goals, youth you'll never get back. For me, any age below 21 is too young for marriage. Anyways, divorce cases in Singapore have been on the rise of late.
