I love how most abandoned properties are not vandalised in Europe... Not like here in the USA. Valuable things are taken/destroyed here even the copper in the walls. Absolutely captivating video - thank you for uploading!! As ever, it is so good that you respect the property and do not show the address upon letters, etc. It is strange that the surrounding grounds are well-tended and the grass is kept short. I would guess that someone is deliberately keeping this house and contents as a kind of shrine to a loved one.

Saw you in my recommended. Neat explore. The wallpaper in that one room looked like William Morris. The 26” lcd tv box is strange. I do think families go into loved ones homes and become overwhelmed and just give up. I know when my mom passed away I could not physically go back for a long time. In that sense I feel these homes are abandoned. If I passed and my home was just left I’d be ok with someone taking a look. As long as they were respectful. And you seem to be very respectful.

I've been to some of these myself, there's one I found in Essex in the middle of nowhere that hadn't been lived in since the 1980s. Absolutely untouched, cup of tea mouldy by the bed the lady died I was told. Absolutely unbelievable. What a great find though great video 👍
@beema95735 жыл бұрын
Truly enjoyed this. You did a nice smooth job of catching all the great finds on video. Thank you. Comments: some valuable items there. I would love to have the picture of the German Shepherd....beautiful photo. Don't blame the young lady for standing in one place with her hood tightly clasped...yucky, yucky spiders! So huge. Now if you would have lifted the door on the safe it probably would have opened. Looked like the dial locking mechanism had been removed. Inside you might have found a BIG spider! Ha. And some of the wallpaper was amazingly horrid. Great record collection. Vinyl is making a comeback in the U.S. and new ones are much costlier than they used to be when everyone was listening to records. Couldn't help but notice the lawn was mowed and looked like the hedges had been trimmed not so long ago, so someone is taking care of the yard. Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure.

Still one of the original taps in kitchen sink. 1960's 'Supatap'. Leisure stainless steel sink can tell by the overflow. Enamelled steel ones were made in that era too. Basin looks like Pyramid ware in Jade with it's 45 degree 'cut' corners (common about that time) but couldn't see any insignia below the overflow

This actually made me think, who pays the rates on houses like these. You used to be able to stop paying on empty houses like I did while I lived abroad. Now you only get a reduction for a short period. Seriously, I live in a little 17th century cottage and the rates are extortionate. My parent's house is much bigger so I don't think my brother and I could afford to cover the basic costs! I guess the water and electricity are off at this place.

The lawns been mowed by someone. Animals probably knocked down the broken pots. If you really think about it, every house is a time capsule, the time could be yesterday or 100 years ago. I’m not nit picking, just saying. That’s what Int. Does to houses, works it’s way through the outside into the inside. It might look nice, but it is a house wrecker! That was a bellows, to help start a fire adding oxygen to build up the flames to help get the wood burning. If spiders spin spider webs, do cobs spin cobwebs?
