Yeah, what you said at around 6:55 is spot on. American Dad doesn't do cutaways like Family Guy. All these crazy moments seem more random when they're all clipped together back to back with no context. They're a lot funnier and make more sense when you see them in a full episode.

ahh, American Dad! the sister show to Family Guy! Stan Smith is a CIA agent, wife Francine never has a job, daughter Haley is a hippie, son Steve is a nerd. Roger is the alien. -- Avery Bullock (played by Patrick Stewart) is a bisexual CIA leader, Stan's boss. -- Klaus Heisler (played be Dee Bradley Baker) was a former East Germany skier, but the CIA switched his brain in the body of a fish.

Take any British comedy I've never heard of, make a compilation of only punchlines with no context from it, have me watch it and I will be just as confused as you. Even watching a full episode I still would be mostly lost from slang, cultural differences and accents. I'm not sure why you guys react to stuff like this.

It definitely is a bit more random and bizarre because of the edit, but it still is a different type of show and I doubt it'd really be up their alley...which is fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I personally don't like American Dad all that much. Some episodes (especially early on) are better in my opinion, but overall the show just hasn't been consistently funny for me. At least we'll have Millie's great facial expressions because she was definitely not into this, but is a trooper for giving it a go.

It's funny that younger generations got Looney Toons being banned for being violent and offensive. Yet garbage shows like Family Guy, South Park, American Dad...etc are considered ok. I'll never watch them. Garbage tv honestly.
