Okay. So they only dated for 4 MONTHS. He originally told her that he didn’t think that they were compatible which is a valid reason to stop dating someone. He prolly was embarrassed that he felt he couldn’t keep up or that he likes a bit more basic things and didn’t tell her bc he may have felt she would make fun of him. To suggest that he should’ve “worked up” to it is wild. If he felt like she was too much for him or he wasn’t comfy with her adventurous he should be able to back off. It’s not like they were dating for years. He even said she didn’t do anything wrong, he just wasn’t on her level and that’s fine and a valid reason to break things off.

I gotta say, this is one where I do not like how Bert came down on this guy. I usually love Bert's responses but... this guy did not ghost her as she put it... he gave a very valid reason in saying he did not feel they were compatible. Why do people feel they need the entire fourth dimension explanation of someone not feeling the two of them not working. But Bert saying he didn't try is adding fault to him as though he didn't. They were together for four months, he may have been trying for four months and finally said to himself, "Im not being myself!" There are females in marriages who change for their unappreciated husbands and when they finally say "I have to do things for me" we (including Bert) praise them for making that change. Why were we downing him for making the change and not just ghosting or cheating(assuming) or leading this lady on?

Wow tommy did a great job here! This guy did NOT want to own up to that one. Sounds like a decent guy go. But tommy rocked it! I don’t think I could have been able to get that out of him

It's a more polite and mature breakup than most people get these days out of men. It sucks, but he was polite about it. This happened to me. He was always faking how happy he was, and just turned out to be a big liar and cheater. It happens.

Women always say they want something g that they really don't want. For example, if a guy cheats on his gf, the 1st thing she says is, "If you don't want to be with me, just tell me that so that u don't waste my time and u can go do whatever u want and although it will break my heart, at least I will respect u for being honest with me and telling me." Then the guy decided to be honest b4 cheating on her snd says, "Hey it's not working out for me, let's go our separate ways." The woman: But why? Let's talk about it and discuss how we can get thru this. * And this ladies & dents is why men choose to ghost instead of breaking up, to avoid them telling u all the reasons why they don't want to be with u anymore*

Eh I don’t think it was sex related either. I mean unless he wrote it like “adventurous” and gave more innuendo. I took it as he may be more of a homebody and likes to go and do things occasionally but not all the time. If it was about sex, she would have understood his response right away. She was probably thinking “wtf we didn’t even really have much sex” because it really wasn’t about sex at all 🤷🏼‍♀️
