Letshuoer have been adamant with me that the tuning is the same as the OG S12. looks like Hifigo has described it as newer tuning confusing everyone

Mine is in the mail. This small bump in sub-bass is exactly what I wanted. Shell color is great. Cable is an icing on the cake.

@@1800moonSugar A great audio mixing tool. Having to change EQ setting every time I swap IEM set would be a nightmare for portable use. It is fine to use an EQ in a stationary setup to compensate for not well matched or selected components.

It seems to have a different nozzle metal dust cover though. The S12 Pro seems to have the small holes in an oval kind of shape compared to the OGs which are smaller and round. Had the S12, broke one side in a modding incident and now my S12 Pro is on the way...

Since you need a set. That noz mesh is less impactful than tip rolling. You need another set..I woulda got black and Gold

The cable is actually sold separately, it's called Chimera, IIRC. Talking about the same faces, there's also a black and gold Z12 Pro, which, you guessed it, is Z12 with the modular cable.

Yeah they do sell the Chimera Cable separately, it's worth it since it's $49 right but it'll be bumped up to $59 later.

I went with the Z12. I didnt look up any reviews beforehand. Just seemed like they did the colab, released a product, then took the colab off, and sold it as something else for the same price. My first Planar, and second IEM after the Hola.

I really love the sound of the Wu, but they are hurting my ears horribly no matter how I position them or what tips I use. Soundwise it was a fantastic rec from you. I considered getting the S12 Pro as an alternative at around the same price.

If you’re talking about the heyday, I also really wanted that set but checked the nozzle measurements before purchase because I have small ears. Didn’t get them for this very reason and ended up with the s12s instead, which I really like.

To those new to this hobby, I think this hobby has very high diminishing returns since I've heard moondrop s8, blessing 2 dusk, shuoer s12 pro, non-pro, timeless and still prefer the 7hz salnotes zero. Your decision should be more to your preferences in tuning rather than the "resolution".

It's a tinny pile of shit with a hydrogen bomb treble straight from the box, with no sound body and you find yourself around the block from the recording studio with vague treble music wafting by. Even with max bass and near zero treble on the EQ the ICBM treble still blasts over the technical's,which otherwise would be impressive, but it has no sound body. Did I mention the slight treble issue? All this through a powerful Dac/amp. Unless it drastically improves on burn in I'm flushing the S12 pro down the toilet. Why won't you people tell the truth?
