This is so inspirational as someone who always dreamed of making an anime to see a black CEO of the only American animation studio and to have studied under GITS director and worked on so many iconic productions! This is why I always say let's not beg for the approval of the Japanese or other races. As black people we are capable of so much. If they can't see our brilliance that's their loss.

Oh man this is amazing! Arthell and Leshaun Thomas are legends to me. As a black animator heavily influenced by Japanese animation and manga they have been huge inspirations in showing me that my dreams are possible. One day I'll work with D'Art Shtajio on a project. You heard it here first 🔥 ✍🏾

This interview was pretty awesome, that man was so interesting. I love his approach as a young drawing artist: He loves and respects someone's work so much that he changes his life just to meet him and learn more from him. I met a canadian guy in my trip to osaka who made the same with a famous japanese guitarist. That's heart!

I'd love to hear more stories from black business in Japan on how they set up their business. Like in detail. I will keep searching the business process here while i'm living in Tokyo but of course hearing it from someone is better. Thank you for this interview. People say that the Japanese are racist but I don't think so, maybe some but they will allow a black person to build a business with no problem. The Koreans will allow you to build a business as well in their country as a black man The Chinese will never let a black man build a business in China, in fact, they have a rule against it. The best place in Asia for a black person is anywhere but China.
