Every time I listen to Gold on the ceiling I think about my family's annual trip to Yellowstone. It's always been a tradition to play the same playlist on the road trip there, and once we get driving through Idaho, we have to start it off with Gold on the ceiling. Yeah probably. Too bad indie-rock is mostly overvalued, tepid, soulless, meandering drivel. Most of the bands classified as indie rock don't even rock! They are more concerned with their clothes, gimmicks and attempting to look mysterious. Give me The Who, The Stooges, MC5, Ramones, Clash, Nirvana ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. None of the indie-rock bands even come close. They are mostly pretenders.
