1) Do not chase people who don't associate or love you. 2) How you show up for yourself •What you think about yourself ? •What you're saying to yourself in general ? 3) Let go of the opinions of others. Why he did not wanna be with you your father, mother or boss? 4)What is your daily ritual ? • See if your actions align with the vision of the person you wanna be.

I want to thank you.. Tonight my husband of 20 years told me he wants to divorce me and he hates everything about the life we made together.. I’m absolutely crushed and wanted to keep asking why, when I try so hard and love him so much.. Instead I just stopped fighting and went in the other room and decided to watch KZbin to keep Me from being a crying hot mess..I hoped that as I watched the right message will come thru because I am so lost inside. It feels so unfair but I didn’t beg , i swallowed it down and realized i need to handle this smarter . I really really needed this video tonight. So thank you. I feel like an absolute wreck but I felt like you spoke to my soul and told me I am worth more.

Thank you so much for this! I struggle with Borderline Personality Disorder and, among other struggles, I deal with extremely low self esteem and insecurity. One surprising thing that has helped me significantly has been simply showing up for myself - waking up at the time that I said I was going to, going to the gym when I said I was going to, eating healthy. The little rituals and habits really do make a huge difference!

Good advice and funny! I'm a 26 year old man who has struggled with self-esteem his whole life. But it has become more pronounced over the past year since starting my current job. I've been struggling with severe imposter syndrome for the past year because I am almost a licensed engineer and people seem to think I know more than I really do. I'm pretty honest about what I do and don't know. But I feel the biggest reason for my self-esteem issues is how much I internalize everything. I don't have the energy for this shit, yet I cannot seem to stop myself wtf

Some people just don't/didn't want kids or didn't have the ability to raise them. It has nothing to do with you: they would have failed as parents no matter who the kid was. Sometimes you need to grieve the loss of what you wish you had in childhood, and realize that it has nothing to do with you. If you search for love where it is not, or with people who are incapable of it, you will always be disappointed, and worse, you will make it about yourself, instead of about them. You deserve love and attention, and the child that you were deserves it to. You can't do anything about your parents, but you can still help the child in you by grieving what she never got, and instead of continuing to look for where it isn't, look for where it is. You might never get approval or love from your parents, but you can get it from friends or chosen family or partners. Just because your parents didn't give it to you doesn't mean it's unavailable, you just have to go where it is available. You have to allow yourself to give up looking for it where it isn't, and looked for it where it is. Just because little you didn't get it doesn't mean it's your fault or that you weren't good enough, ironically, it means your parents weren't good enough at being loving parents. Detach from their ideas of your worth, they did not have the capacity to love you the way a child needs, nor the way an adult needs. Let that be their problem, not yours. It's not your responsibility to "fix yourself" or prove anything, it was their responsibility to raise a child properly.

So well said! Thank you! I needed to hear this about not chasing friends. The hard thing is that the people who do want to hang out with me aren’t as fun to be around and I don’t connect with them as much. But I guess I just need to hang out with them anyways and maybe focus on doing fun activities so I’ll still have fun even if they’re more boring people.

I was given the advice and had somewhat of an experience and expect to have more; that more whole people, sometimes less traumatized people seem boring at first because they don't have the intensity that we are used to being around. You may find that those people that feel boring at first, end up being very deep stable loving people with whom you can have the type of connection that you haven't experienced before.it's hard to imagine, but it may just be an experience that's new for some of us. Explore a little… I don't think we should have friends that are boring, but maybe the dynamic connections were looking for lie under a boring surface! Lol

A friend of 40+ years said she doesn’t want to talk to me anymore because I wouldn’t break up with my current bf. I decided not to respond to her comments at all. I’ve come to realization that for 40+ years, this woman has mostly made me feel bad about myself. My relationship with my bf may not be perfect, but I can say for certain that he has never made me feel judged or condemned…unlike her. I actually feel a sense of relief to let her go.

9:46 love Gabor Maté. Another thing about having autoimmune diseases is attachment style. Adam Lane Smith explains it as best. It is because of not having developed receptivity of biochemical oxytocin (mostly for women). Thus person is actually all the time in chronic stress. It is difficult, but we can work on our attachment style.

You give out so much value. TYSM Margarita. My notes for Build incredibly strong self-esteem 1. Do not chase or force those who do not want you, Do not associate with those who do not love you 2. Let go of opinions of why someone did not want to be with you. (You were meant for other things and better things that bring out the best you). 3. What's your daily ritual? What do you eat? How do you take care of your body? 4 Make sure your actions line up to the person you want to be (you are the maker and manufacturer of yourself) 5. Always show up for yourself and things that are important to you.
